DISCREET SPLENDOUR
The Sonnet collection is one of the jewels of current drinking glass design. Its character is defined by the minimalistic lines of the smooth walls and the
energetic cutting in perfectly-balanced proportions. Champagne, wine and even pure water will thus always have a real spark.
CRYSTAL FOR EVERY DAY
The collection consists of pure or subtly coloured crystal with no further decoration, being shaped by cutting alone. It nevertheless creates an aura of abundance and
elegance. “The apparent simplicity forms a contrast to the complexity of the time in which we live,” say the authors of the design, Ingrid Račková and David Suchopárek.
Studio IRDS
AUTHORS
The Czecho-Slovak brand IRDS is the creation of Ingrid Račková and David Suchopárek, who are both life partners and creative partners. Ingrid
comes from Liptovský Mikuláš in Slovakia, David from Rakovník in the Czech Republic. Both studied at UMPRUM in Prague. A further example
of their successful work with Moser is the limited editions of monumental cut and bonded vases that are at the same time interior sculptures.
BEAUTY IN SIMPLICITY
Whether we are talking about champagne flutes or a water jug, Sonnet represents the beauty of pure crystal, which stands out thanks to its simple forms. It is
complemented by vibrant cutting in the lower part of the tumblers and goblets. The crowning point of the collection is the stopper of the slender carafe.
COLOURS ROUND OFF CHARACTER
“Working with the Moser colours is splendid, but difficult. They are like senses, or even personalities. The hardest thing is to make sure that the shape and colour are in harmony with the intended essence and impact of the collection or object,” the authors say, explaining their
concept of design.
A SONNET JUST FOR YOU
The whole collection has a distinctive style of its own. You may combine it not only in keeping with your favourite drinks, but according to which colours put you
in the best mood.
