GENERAL TECHNICAL FEATURES The units TCEEBY are condenserless water chillers. They are intended for use in conditioning plant where a supply of chilled water is required. The machine is designed for indoor installation. In order to operate condenserless units must be connected to a remote condenser. On request are available remote condensers.

Constructional features Structure in galvanised and RAL 9018 painted steel plate, coated on the inside with sound-absorbing panels Hermetic, Scroll-type rotary compressors, complete with internal circuit breaker protection and crankcase heater activated automatically when the unit stops (as long as the power supply to the unit is preserved).Braze welded plate type heat-exchangers in stainless steel with closed-cell expanded polyurethane foam insulation complete with antifreeze elements.Differential pressure switchMale threaded hydraulic connections on 1 and 2 compressors units, Victaulic connections on 4 compressors unitsRefrigerant circuit realized with mild copper tubes (EN 12735-1-2) and welded with silver alloy. Complete with dryer filter, thermostatic valve/s, load connections, safety pressure switch on the high pressure side with manual rearm, pressure switch on the low pressure side with automatic rearm, safety valves (starting from mod. 122), liquid indicator and insulation of the intake line, cocks equipped with threaded connections for flared pipes (mod.115÷240) taps and flanged joint (mod.245÷4360) on the discharge and liquid lines. Unit with IP21 protection rating. iDRHOSS compatible with AdaptiveFunction Plus. The unit are pre-charged with R410A refrigerant with the purpose of protecting the refrigerant circuit. The correct charge must be established by the installer based on the length of the lines between the condenserless and the remote condenser.

Electrical control board Option with iDRHOSS compatible. Electrical control board accessible by opening the front panel, conforming with current IEC norms, can be opened and closed with a suitable tool. Complete with: electrical wiring arranged for power supply 400V-3ph+N-50Hz for 1 and 2 compressors units (115 ÷ 2185) and 400V-3ph-50Hz for 4 compressors units (4180 ÷ 4360);auxiliary power supply 230V-1ph+N-50Hz drawn from the main power supply (without N for mod. 4180 ÷ 4360); compressor protection phase sequence and missing phase monitor (4180 ÷ 4360); general isolator complete with door interlocking isolator; automatic compressor protection switch;protection fuse for auxiliary circuit; compressor power contactor; automatic switch pump protection (with mod. 115 ÷ 240 only for three-phase pump); pump power contactor (with mod. 115 ÷ 240 only for three-phase pump); remote controls. Programmable electronic board with microprocessor, controlled by the keyboard inserted in the machine. The electronic board performs the following functions: Regulation and management of the outlet water temperature set points, of the safety timer delays; of the circulating pump, of the compressor, of the electronic antifreeze protection, of the functions which control the operations of the individual parts making up the machine;complete protection of the unit, automatic emergency shutdown and display of the alarms which have been activated; phase sequence monitor protecting the compressor; unit protection against low or high voltage (only for model 115 ÷ 2185) visual indication of the programmed set points via the display; of the in/out water temperature via the display; of the alarms via the display; self-diagnosis with continuous monitoring of the functioning of the unit;

user interface menù; alarm code and description; alarm history management (menù protected by manufacturer password)For each alarm the controllers shows: date and time of intervention (if present the option KSC); alarm code and description; inlet and outlet water temperature when the alarm intervened; alarm delay time from the switch-on of the connected device; compressor status at the moment of alarm; Advanced functions: configured for serial connection (option SS o FTT10); configured for management of time bands and operation parameters with the possibility of daily/weekly operating programs (with option KSC for unit 115 ÷ 2185); check-up and monitoring of maintenance scheduled status; computer-assisted unit testing; self-diagnosis with continuous monitoring of the unit functioning status. Set point regulation via the AdaptiveFunction Plus with two options: fixed set-point (Precision function) shifting set-point (Economy function)

Factory fitted accessories GM – Refrigerant circuit high and low pressure gauges (option not available for model 115 ÷ 240). CR – Condensatori di rifasamento (cos φ 0,91). Option available only for model 245 ÷ 4360. SFS – Soft-Starter device. SIL – Silenced set-up. CS – Set point adjustable (4-20 mA signal). Not available with DSP option. DSP - Double set point (digital input). It modifies the evaporator set points. Not available with CS option. P1 – Installation with basic static pressure single pump. DP1 – Installation with basic static pressure double pump, including an automatically activated pump in stand- by (only for model 245 ÷ 4360). P2 – Installation with high-head pressure. DP2 – Installation with increased static pressure double pump, including an automatically activated pump in stand-by (only for model 245 ÷ 4360). The installations P1, DP1 and P2, DP2 also envision the following: expansion tank, safety valve (3 Barg for model 115÷240 and 6 Barg for model 245÷4360), water pressure gauge, filling cock, pumps hut-off cock (only for model 245÷4360), drain cock and manual air bleeding vents. In the event of double pump DP1,DP2 (only for model 245 ÷ 4360) the hydraulic circuits also include a non return valve and an intake cock for each pump. SS –RS485 serial interface card to create dialogue networks between cards and the building automation or external supervision systems or Rhoss supervision system (protocols supported: proprietary protocol; Modbus RTU) (models 245÷4360, supplied loose for models 115 ÷ 240) FTT10 –FTT10 serial interface card for connection to supervision systems (LonWorks system) (models 245÷4360, supplied loose for models 115 ÷ 240).

Supplied loose accessories KFA – Water filter (option available only for model 125 ÷ 2185). KSA – Rubber antivibration mountings. KSAM – Spring antivibration mountings (option available only for model 4180 ÷ 4360). KTR – Remote keypad for control at a distance with rear illuminated LCD display (same functions as the one built into the machine). KEAP – Outdoor air sensor for set-point compensation. Incompatible with CS option. KSC - Clock board to display date/time and to regulate the machine with daily/weekly start/stop time bands, with the possibility to change the set points (standard for models 4180 ÷ 4360). KRS232 – RS485/RS232 serial converter for interconnection between RS485 serial network and supervision systems with serial connection to the PC via RS232 serial port (RS232 cable provided). KUSB – RS485/USB serial converter for interconnection between RS485 serial network and supervision systems with serial connection to the PC via USB port (USB cable provided).

INSTALLATION ○ The unit is intended for indoor installation. ○ The unit is equipped with male threaded water connections (1-2 compressors units) or Victaulic connections (4 compressors units). ○ The unit must be positioned to comply with the minimum recommended clearances, bearing in mind the access to water and electrical connections . ○ The unit can be equipped with antivibration mountings on request. ○ It is obligatory to install the low-pressure drop mesh filter on each water inlet of the unit. ○ The unit may not be installed on brackets or shelves . ○ Correct installation and positioning includes levelling the unit on a surface capable of bearing its weight. ○ Segregate the unit if installed in areas accessible to persons under 14 years of age. ○ Shut-off valves must be installed that isolate the unit from the rest of the system. Elastic connection joints and system/machine drain taps also need to be fitted. ○ The water flow through the heat exchangers should be a value corresponding to a temperature differential inside the admitted range. ○ During long periods of inactivity, it is advisable to drain the water from the system. ○ It is possible to avoid draining the water by adding ethylene glycol to the water circuit. ○ The pumps must be installed with the pump delivery towards the machine water inlet. ○ Do not use water that is corrosive or contains deposits or debris. ○ Do not use water containing chloride or is demineralised. The below listed limits must be respected to avoid corrosion of the exchangers:

If you are uncertain about the quality of the water in the above table or you have doubts regarding the presence of different materials that could cause gradual corrosion over time in the exchangers, it is always good practice to insert an intermediate exchanger that can be inspected and is made of suitable resistant material. Main suggestions for proper refrigerant installation: ○ The unit are pre-charged with R410A refrigerant for the purpose of protection the refrigerant circuit. ○ The correct charge must be established by the installer based on the length of the refrigerant lines. ○ Connecting the refrigerant pipes with the remote condenser, it is essential to make a vacuum in the whole circuit and then to charge with refrigerant. ○ It is important to check the level of oil in the compressor carefully and if necessary to top it up (for the type of oil to use always refer to the instructions on the tag located on the compressor). ○ The refrigerant lines for connection with the condensing section must be made of copper pipe for refrigerant circuits. ○ Size the refrigerant lines properly so as to obtain reduced pressure drops and refrigerant fluid speed that guarantees movement of the oil. ○ The maximum equivalent length of the refrigerant line is 30 meters. ○ The horizontal parts of the line must be inclined slightly downwards (in the direction of gas flow) so as to favour the flow of oil (inclination incluse between 0,5% and 1%). ○ When the condenser is located above the compressor, at the compressor there must be a trap which runs down to floor level. ○ In the vertical parts of the discharge line there must be traps for oil collector every 3-4 meters (maximum vertical level 10 meters). ○ It is advisable to install : - to insulate the liquid line if the outdoor temperature (solar radiation) is higher than the temperature of the liquid itself. - to insulate the gas discharge line so as to avoid the possibility of burns due to accidental contact or to avoid heating of the indoor areas. - between the outlet of the condenserless unit and the remote condenser, an antivibration device and a silencer so as to reduce the transmission of noise and vibration along the piping. - to insert after previous evaluation a non return valve near the condenser. - down the line from the remote condenser a liquid recipient of suitable (compliant with current standards) in the case of long line lenght (roughly more than 20 meters). - the units are not equipped with a solenoid valve on the liquid line; its installation must be handled by the installer and is advisable when the condenser is located above the condenserless unit.
