After 4 years of university research, internships,
entrepreneurial activities, fulfillment of several leadership
positions and eventually graduation, we decided not to take
the expected route. Instead of starting to work for a single
company we decided to really broaden our horizons. As a
result of brainstorm sessions and the refining of our ideas
we came up with the “Knowledge Nomads” concept. The
concept comprises tailor-made research solutions for
international oriented companies. We are dedicated to offer
our customers valuable knowledge at a sharp price.
Based upon our academic backgrounds, research skills and experiences gained abroad we are able to offer tailor-made field-research solutions for international oriented companies.

What do we offer?
We are young, flexible, smart, ambitious and able to offer
you the best global research solutions possible for the
sharpest price around. All research is tailor-made and as a
result we are able to answer specific research questions for
companies in the global context. Since we are open
minded, not tied to any company and just graduated at the
Universiteit van Amsterdam and Vrije Universiteit
Amsterdam, we can provide your company with daring new
ideas and recommendations in a challenging environment.
Our main expertise is setting up and conducting customized
research by matching it to your company specific needs.
Please keep in mind that the research possibilities mentioned
on page 6 can be extended or adjusted to match companies
needs and wishes.

The price depends on: • Proximity Research
Location • Duration • Methodology
Price indication
The estimated price includes the following elements:
§ Travel costs: Visa, (domestic/international)
flights, urban transport.
§ Housing expenses: Hotel at reasonable costs,
which offers good working conditions.
§ Daily budget: food and beverages
§ Other costs: printing, phone costs, etc.
Based up on research experience a price indication of
between € 13.500 and 20.000 is justified. However this is
just an indication based upon two researchers doing 4
weeks full time research and 2 weeks of preparatory
desk research. Logically the location and thereby the
cost of living fluctuates per country and in turn
influences the price of the research. In addition, a third
researcher may be desirable to encounter the scope of
the research. We have a broad range of motivated and

Time frame of the research
Time Frame
Phase 1) – Appointment: When a company shows
interest a meeting will be arranged. The purpose of the
meeting is to get to know the company and introduce
our-selves in order to align expectations. In addition,
during this meeting the context, cost, design and scope
of the research will be discussed.
Phase 2) – Research proposal: The outcomes of the
meeting will be incorporated into a detailed proposal,
which will include all aspects considering research
possibilities as well as an indication of the costs made. If
the research proposal does not align with company
expectations adjustments can be made.
Phase 3) – Go / No Go: A contract will be send if the
research proposal meets expectations and there is joint
agreement to conduct field research abroad.
Phase 4) – Desk research: During the desk research
phase all preparations necessary to conduct field
research abroad will be made. For example, this
includes insights about the company, its market and
expertise as well as information about the area abroad
under investigation.
Phase 5) – Field research: During the field research data
will be collected by means of qualitative and/or
quantitative research methods. The data collected will
be carefully analysed and incorporated into the final
report.
Phase 6) – Presentation of the results: The outcomes of
the research will be presented and incorporated into a
final report.

Examples of possible research solutions
Examples of possible research:
Competitor analyses: Compare the strengths and
weaknesses of your company to competitors. Investigate
possible threats to your business and provide the latest
insight into (new) opportunities.
Market research: We are able to collect data about
markets and customers to provide understanding of
customers needs and wants, market trends and business
opportunities
Sector analyses: Includes research into your company’s
industry. For example we are able to investigate industry
standards.
(Out) Sourcing possibilities: For example we are able to
investigate whether it is interesting for your company to
make a deal with a local manufacturer or open a new
factory into the country under investigation.
Trade possibilities: We are able to analyse trade (import
as well as export) processes and procedures.
Research Methods
In order to answer research
questions a quantitative,
qualitative or a mixed
approach is used. In more
detail the following research
methods can be used:
1. Conducting interviews
2. Making observations
3. Collect and analyse data
by sending out surveys.
4. Studying documents and
analysing case studies.
