Are you after un-posed and natural family photographs? Looking for someone to create a fun family experience in order to capture some colourful candid moments of togetherness? Then you have come to the right place.

I consider all families unique, beautiful - colourful! It doesn’t matter if your family is your partner, your new baby, your children or maybe even your friends. Whatever form you and your loved ones take, I would love to meet you to help document your family just the way that you are and doing the things that you love to do. I focus not on the way a person looks but on their connection with the ones they love and the moments we can create together.

The perfect session for you if you would like to document a current slice of your life. Whether it be with a new baby you are welcoming into your home and family or with your children at the perfect little age that they are right now, I will come to you in the comfort of your own home or to a location of your choice and we will spend 2-3 hours together capturing your life naturally and authentically. We will get to know each other and I will document your time of togetherness.

I can capture your morning routine or some other fun filled activity that you like doing together. It could be eating breakfast, baking muffins, going to the beach, getting banana smoothies, a trip to the city, having a sack race, feeding ducks or just hanging at home (maybe even a little jump on the bed is called for).

A unique way to capture a specific journey at different milestones in life and the journey of parenthood. It could be a maternity journey or it could be throughout different stages of your baby’s first year.

The journey comprises of 4 mini lifestyle sessions lasting 20 minutes each and these can be taken at any time within a twelve month time frame.

For maternity, you could combine 3 maternity shoots and one newborn mini shoot of you holding your baby. This newborn session can be upgraded to an A Colourful Morning session at a reduced price.

For your child, perhaps you would like a newborn mini, a 4 month old, an 8 month old and a 12 month old session to make up your journey. Or indeed any other stages throughout your baby’s first year.

You can incorporate other family members into these sessions and they may be at different locations – either in your home or at a location agreed. Due to the nature of them being only for 20 minutes each, these will have to be held in Trafalgar or close by unless previously arranged and agreed upon.

What can I expect from a Colour of Life Photography session? A session with Colour of Life Photography is not just a photo shoot. It is about creating a fun and memorable experience for you and your family. The combination of my personal touch, a relaxed approach and enthusiasm to document your family authentically while capturing pure connection will provide unique memories to keep forever.

How do I book? Simply head to the Contact section on my website and complete the booking form. This form will be forwarded to me and from there we will arrange a date and time that is suitable to us both.

When do I need to pay?You pay your non-refundable session fee for your chosen session at the time of booking to secure your space. Next you pay the minimum package spend of $450 on the day or prior to your session. You then decide on whether to upgrade your package once you have received your images in your online gallery and payment of this is then required to be made within 7 days.

When will I receive my photos? You will receive a link to a password protected online gallery approximately 2-3 weeks after your session, which will remain open for 7 days. Once your package is chosen and paid for, your order will be placed and delivery will be 1-3 weeks and maybe a little longer for albums.

Where will the photos be taken?I can come to you in the comfort of your own home or at a location of your choice but I also have some fabulous outdoor locations that I can suggest.

What should I wear?Simple, casual and comfortable is the key. Try to remember it’s about coordinating, not matching. My opinion is the more colour the better (I love colour) – especially in children and it is always best to avoid big logos, wording and gimmick printed tops as you don’t want to take the focus away from the star of the show – you!

If you can avoid black that will allow me to bring life to your photos – the colour of life! If you need some extra inspiration, please feel free to head on over to my Pinterest board for some ideas.

FAQ’s

What should I bring?Anything that could help your children feel comfortable whether it be a favorite toy, book, ball, bubbles or activity. Snacks are always handy as a backup.

What happens if I need to re-schedule? If an illness or an unforeseen circumstance prevents a photo session from taking place, I will understand (I have children too and life just happens sometimes). Please let me know as soon as you can so that we can re-schedule you in for another suitable time.

What happens if the weather is bad?I shoot in all kinds of weather apart from rain and strong wind so if we happen to come across a particularly nasty day, we will decide together on the day whether to postpone. Sometimes I can tell the day before but I often don’t like to re-schedule until the day of because well… with this Victorian weather – who really knows what it is going to do.

When do I have to book my newborn session?

With lifestyle newborn photography, we can be a little more flexible with the age of your baby but as a guide I would recommend the baby being somewhere between 1-4 weeks new. I am not particularly after sleepy posed shots and don’t mind if the baby is either awake or asleep so I will be totally gauged by you as to when you think you are ready for your session after your baby is born. I will ask you to let me know when you are blessed with your bundle of joy and we can set up something that is suitable to us both.

Do you photograph weddings?No I don’t sorry but I know great wedding photographers that I can recommend. My passion lies with photographing families & children.
