These poly- mers reduce sewer loss and solids going to the waste clarifier, resulting in less loading on the waste disposal sys- tem. In addition to providing cleaner effluent at lower cost from air flota- tion, primary and secondary clarifica- tion, and thickener systems, Novus polymers condition sludge for maxi- mum waste release and greater produc- tion from drying equipment.

The Color Safe process, a part fin- ishing process that produces a high- quality, deep black finish at room tem- perature without the use of EPA- regulated chemicals, can be used on all nonstainless steel ferrous alloys in- cluding cast iron and tool steels, and can serve as direct replacement for the conventional hot oxide finish. No waste treatment is needed with the Color Safe process because it utilizes only specially formulated Birchwood Casey solutions of low toxicity con- taining no EPA-regulated chemicals. The rinsewaters can usually be sent to city sewer lines without treatment.
