Get inspired!Fall is a time of change and this catalog represents the launch of a profoundly new and different fashion company. Not a single finished piece in this catalog was made in an overseas factory. All of our jewelry is composed of authentic design elements captured in sleek, eco-friendly resin (we call it ecoresin), which is one of the many reasons people love our jewelry so much.

Inspiration is the driving force at Color by Amber. We have an inspired global team of designers who develop collections that are visually stunning, while at the same time fun and easy to wear. One of the things you will love about your Color by Amber jewelry is how well it fits your lifestyle. We design our pieces to move effortlessly from the gym or pool to the office or evening event!

Color by Amber Stylists love fashion and design but are also passionate about the CBA vision. This includes mentoring and empowering women here in the U.S. to establish and build vibrant businesses of their own. By supporting our Full Circle program, our Stylists help women artisans around the world support their own families and build brighter futures. Finally, our commitment to sustainability impacts everything from the materials we use in our jewelry, to the carbon-neutral facility we make it in.

Ecoresin The “Amber” of Color by Amber

Color by Amber jewelry is made with ecoresin, a beautiful, translucent co-polyester resin that contains 40% recycled content. We take gorgeous design elements from the natural world and encapsulate them within our ecoresin to create a stunning look that stands out the moment you see it.

Our interlayers include natural elements such as hand-spun silks, exquisite mohair, and artisan-crafted fossil leaves, encapsulated within our ecoresin to create beautiful statement pieces.

Kind to the PlanetOur unique ecoresin is up-cycled from other sources, giving our materials a permanent home. We are not just making another disposable product, but creating a lasting piece made from the same materials found in water bottles and packaging for cosmetics, medical, and consumer goods.

ithemba Our Ithemba interlayers come from a region of South Africa with one of the highestHIV-infected populations in the world. In the Xhosa language, Ithemba means “hope,” and a portion of the proceeds of this Full Circle product goes toward helping the women impacted by this disease. The Ithemba interlayer is made from handcrocheted copper wiring and traditional African beads for a look that is alive with energy and soul.

connections Color by Amber enjoys a strong connection with NDEM, a small Senegalese co-op village. We discovered this picturesque village five years ago, and since then we have worked closely with the village leadership and women artisans to develop exciting new designs to encapsulate in our ecoresin. One of these new designs is called Connections, which features delicate hand-cut flags sewn together in bold, rich color and contemporary patterning by these wonderful tailors. It's sure to become an instant favorite.

A Common Thread For Connections, we engaged our friends in NDEM to sew pieces of their handcrafted cloth into flowing strips. These colorful fabric chains encapsulated in ecoresin infuse a creative spirit into our jewelry.

safari Our Safari collection represents the beautiful colors, textures, and raw materials of Africa. Full Circle interlayers such as banana fiber and bamboo rings capture the spirit of the African safari, while offering a contemporary interpretation on traditional animal prints. This collection also features fray paper from the bark of the Lokta tree, used for many generations in Nepal to make paper for monastery prayer books. What is Full Circle?Full Circle helps support, educate and empower women artisans from a variety of selected communities around the globe including Senegal, Mali, Nepal, and South America. While Color by Amber is proud to manufacture in the U.S., our ecoresin encapsulates a wide range of amazing design elements that originate from far-reaching, richly diverse artisan communities.

In addition to paying fair trade wages and creating employment, the Full Circle program has deployed over $300,000 in infrastructure development, training, and quality-of-life projects over the last three years.

Microsavings group in Senegal, West Africa.As part of our Full Circle program, we have created 64 self-sustaining micro-savings groups throughout Senegal and Mali, which now include more than 1,500 women.
