ACT PREP

NAVIANCE!
You have your own online account where you can:• Research colleges and keep lists of those you like
• Communicate with Mrs. Conant
• Keep track of deadlines
• Have your teachers upload letters of recommendation for your applications
• Alert Mrs. Conant when a transcript must be sent
• You MUST use Naviance – this is the online system we use to submit documentation to colleges.
FINANCIAL AID• Financial Aid means: Grants, Scholarships, and Loans• Any part of the bill not covered by FA is money someone
must pay before you can begin classes• Scholarships are everywhere…LOOK for them! Counselors
will send out information via email, but you need to look for the $$$, too• Many private scholarships require an application and an
essay…start now!• Try a scholarship search engine like: www.fastweb.com to
help you locate scholarships
