Coalition Continues to Meet the Needs of Moore County Residents in Crisis

“Do you have any toilet paper or soap?” is a question that Coalition clients often ask. Heretofore, the answer has been no. For those who are genuinely on hard times, such needs are simply not affordable, and food stamps do not cover them. Most of us cannot possibly imagine the challenges of doing without these items.Since 1986 the Coalition has strived to help struggling families in our community. Recently, in evaluating its ser-vices, the Coalition’s dedicated Board of Directors, decided to offer a “Basic Needs” package. This package will provide laundry detergent, soap, and other necessities to eligible clients, and any of these the Coalition will re-ceive gratefully as a donation as well as food and clothing. Area dentists already provide some toothpaste and toothbrushes, and we are most appreciative! Only through your generosity, that of the community as a whole, and the dedication of wonderful volunteers can the Coalition help those who need it most. Thank you for allowing the Coalition to be a refuge for the less fortunate in Moore County!
