Science Olympiad

The Science Olympiad is an organization devoted to improving the quality of

science education, increasing student motivation in science and recognizing

outstanding student achievement. These goals are accomplished through

classroom activities, research, and the encouragement of state and national

tournaments. The Science Olympiad tournaments are rigorous academic

competitions that consist of a series of events which students prepare for

during the year. These events are spread out between the various science

disciplines of biology, earth science, chemistry, physics, and technology.

This year's goals are for student's to engage in hands on science skills and

learn more about certain topics that they may not have seen in their regular

science curriculum. This competition is an opportunity for students to show

off any type of science skill they may have. This year we are striving to place

higher in the ranks than last year but mostly make new friendships and

improve scientific knowledge that may help in any future endeavors.
