production data analysis and management, etc.), project design and development from concept to
production, oil and gas exploration planning and field implementation, and oil and gas production
operations. This includes conventional, unconventional, and coal seam gas reserves and resources.
Consultant to various industries on complex project design including stakeholder identification &
management; project risk identification & management; project design optimization & selection; project front-
end engineering through to financial investment decision (FID); project construction and implementation; and

HDR Inc. (a US based global engineering firm) acquired Salva Resources in 2013 to form HDR Salva Resources,
providing exploration, mining and engineering services at an international scale with about 200 staff in Australia.
General Manager Oil & Gas Services (Brisbane QLD)
Reported to the CEO. New role created on the HDR acquisition to develop HDR opportunity in the oil & gas
sector. One of five GMs making up the senior management team.
Developed relationships with internal and external stakeholders in business development seeking to
leverage Salva’s mining and HDR Inc.’s engineering strengths to broaden opportunity in the oil & gas sector.
Targeted oil & gas firms throughout QLD, NT, SA and NSW for land access, safety management,
environmental compliance, site construction, camp services, field geology, exploration drilling, exploration

Exploration & Production Manager (Brisbane QLD)
Reported to the CEO & Managing Director. Led Blue Energy’s CSG exploration, appraisal and pilot operations
to build contingent resources and convert to reserves. Annual operating budget $10 million: 10 full time plus up
to 50 contract staff.
Led all technical disciplines and field operations including geophysics, geology, field surveys, site civil
construction, drilling engineering, drilling operations, reservoir engineering, production engineering, facility
engineering, and associated contract administration. Also managed Blue Energy’s local and state
government permits and reporting, native title process, cultural heritage surveys, landowner relations and
land access, and community relations.
Drilled 18 of Blue Energy’s current 41 wells and developed 4 to pilot level in the Bowen Basin (ATP 814). Built
3C contingent resources to 3400 Bcf and 3P reserves to 200 Bcf.
Achieved a five year safety record milestone for Blue Energy of no employee or contractor LTIs.
Liaised with Blue Energy Board for investment decisions on exploration and appraisal activities and
evaluations; field works included trials on tight radius drilling and hydraulic fracture stimulation.
Served as Blue Energy’s representative on numerous QLD State committees for legislative updates (including
Environmental Authorities) to the Petroleum and Gas (Production and Safety) Act 2004, Land Access Code,
Water Act 2000, etc. Served as a spokesman for “small capital” petroleum exploration companies on State
Government committees on overlapping tenure.

Completed a number of engagements in Australia, Singapore and Indonesia for key oil & gas clients including:
AGL. Provided engineering and operations advice for due diligence study on AGL potential acquisition of
a percentage of Sunshine Gas CSG and other petroleum assets.
Sunshine Gas. As Project & Production Manager, led CSG field appraisal, operations and FEED for the
Lacerta field in Queensland. Also supported conventional O&G exploration opportunities.
o Completed CSG field development planning, pilot appraisal, contract services and front-end
engineering for development of the Lacerta Field with a $300 million development plan including
long-lead procurement items.
o Authored and implemented Sunshine Gas Safety Management and Emergency Response Plans.
o The Lacerta Field was to supply a new-built (by Sojitz) small scale (500,000 metric tons/yr) LNG plant
on Fisherman’s Island Gladstone.
o Queensland Gas Company (QCG) acquired Sunshine Gas for $830 million in 2009.
El Paso Production Company to Singapore Production Company (SPC). Joint Venture Manager for Australian
and Indonesian oil & gas assets through the $multi-million sale of the assets by El Paso to SPC. Following the
sale until full SPC staffing and handover, continued the JV management role under the SPC job title of
Production Operations Advisor reporting to the Vice President.

El Paso was a US based oil & gas exploration, production and infrastructure corporation. Kinder Morgan acquired
El Paso in a $38 billion deal in 2012, retained infrastructure assets and subsequently sold the Production and
Exploration arm as EP Energy.
Joint Venture Manager (Brisbane & Indonesia)
Reported to the GM International Operations. Managed non-operated exploration, appraisal, development
and production assets for El Paso in South East Asia with an annual $8 million budget.
Provided non-operated joint venture management and El Paso economic assessment and business
planning for various permits operated by Santos and PetroChina in Indonesia.
Activities included offshore exploration and appraisal wells by Santos (El Paso’s share 40%) and onshore
exploration, appraisal and production operations by PetroChina. Provided key NOJV guidance into the
Santos FEED study for the $130 million development of the offshore Oyong Oil & Gas Field in Indonesia.

Tertiary Assets Manager (Indonesia) 2000 – 2002
Reported to the GM Production Operations. Led project operation and engineering of two experimental
enhanced oil/tertiary recovery projects (light oil steam flood and surfactant polymer flood) in the Minas field,
Indonesia with capital of $75 million.
Modified operations to improve portfolio value by $25 million while implementing Chevron’s Safety
Management practices into the Indonesian workforce.
Saved $10-$100 million in capital expenditure by closing down uneconomic steam flood expansion.
Provided strategic business planning and economic guidance and training to Indonesian operations during
the merger of Chevron and Texaco.
Senior Staff Advisor/ Trouble-shooter 1996 – 2000
Reported to the Chief Engineer, International Operations as a senior advisor for troubleshooting and problem
solving on leadership and technical issues.
Subsurface Manager (Cairns QLD). Managed subsurface design, approval and project engineering for a $200
million development of the Moran Field in Papua New Guinea.
Concept Team Manager (Brisbane QLD). Led team to evaluate 95+ surface and subsurface alternatives,
which framed the $200 million new field development for the PNG Moran Field. This study was endorsed as
a Chevron best practice and presented at Chevron’s annual project management convention. JV
Technical Committee Chairman.
Deputy Project Manager (Papua New Guinea). Co-managed design and construction of a $40 million Moran
field extended well test. JV Technical Committee Chairman.
Production Engineering Supervisor (Nigeria). Led wireline and coiled tubing activities (helicopter and jack-up
rig) in Escravos, Nigeria.
Research Team Leader (CA USA). Managed multi-functional research team evaluating formation damage
in the offshore Angola Kokongo field. Developed and planned well stimulation programs (acid and
hydraulic fracture).

Reported to the VP Chevron Technology. Delivered and managed a new R&D funding system totalling $39
