A couple of the Business Unit reps commented on being sorry to see him moving off the project initially. From what I have seen of John he is not afraid to roll up his sleeves and get stuck into resolving issues or to speak up when he disagrees with decisions, processes or procedures – qualities which I consider essential to his role in Desktop Refresh.

Neil Hi

John asked for some feedback on his performance – from my side he is an excellent IBM resource – very pro-active on issues / defects and is knowledgeable about the L&G estate and the R11/LDS/10b project scope.

He is also knows his way around the IBM processes and who can do what / when, which has been a bit of life saver when the pressure has been on.

Best Regards

Chris

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner - some feedback:

Is open an honest about what his priorities are, who they have been agreed with (should escalation be required) and what he can take responsibility for given those priorities.

Is happy to pick up the phone and chase people for updates on where they are with their current workload

Does his best to get things done and make things happen, rather than argue why things are difficult to do or can't be done

On both occasions john has been an invaluable resource in getting testing into shape, securing the correct resource from the business and making sure those tests occurred. Most recently with WAS 8 even though there are challenges securing test resources due to the CoE set up and subsequent restructure across teams John has managed to identify application owners and get commitment from them to test as required. This is one of the very few instances where this has happened and is down to John.
