Waste is a disgrace
A lot of the things we throw away can be recycled or reused.
Waste is a disgraceWASTE IS A DISGRACE!
!!!WASTE IS A PROBLEM!!!
When you throw away it really does not go
away it goes to a land fill like this and sits
and sits…
Hazardous HappeningsHazardous materials like cleaners, batteries, etc. wind up in landfills and cause pollution.
The Rotten TruthPeople throw away too much food waste that ends up in the landfills. Most things can be composted.
The Problem With Plastic
Not all plastic waste gets recycled. Reuse and recycle!
Down storm drains into flood canals that lead to the ocean.
Do you know where the trash on the streets ends up?
We use about 1 billion shopping bags in a year which creates 300,000 tons of landfill waste. This affects almost 267 species of animals.
There are 3,091 active land fills and 10,000 municipal old landfills in the US. People use on average 5 pounds of trash a day.
When someone litters it goes straight to the
ocean. When it goes to the ocean, its possible for fish to mistake it as
their breakfast and it eat it, and die. :(
