This course is aimed at anyone involved with Cisco Unified Communication Manager deployments and explores the implementation of the new Jabber Client for Windows. Participants will have a first look opportunity into the pre-configuration of CUCM 9.0 and Windows Active Directory, followed by the new CUCM IM & Presence 9.0 Server installation and its integration with CUCM. Enhanced Directory Integration (EDI), or Cisco User Data Services (UDS) configuration to give an understanding of their differences to attendees.

Cisco WebEx Meetings Server (CWMS) is a highly secure, fully virtualised conferencing solution that combines audio, video and web conferencing in a single solution. It allows customers to manage their conferencing solution as a capital expenditure instead of an operational expenditure. This course will give attendees opportunity to install, configure and integrate Cisco WebEx Meeting Server within an Active Directory domain, with Cisco Unified Communications Manager and end user client machines.

CCIE Voice to become CCIE CollaborationVideo and Voice are converging and this can be seen in the recently announced changes to Cisco’s Channel Partner Programs and CCIE Voice Certification which is evolving to become CCIE Collaboration. The new CCIE Collaboration certification will expand to include Cisco’s leading solutions for voice, video, IM, presence and call centers.

CCIE Voice

The CCIE Voice certification will be retired as of February 14, 2014. The last day to take the CCIE Voice Written exam is November 20, 2013.

The last day to take the CCIE Voice Lab exam is February 13, 2014.

Collaboration Architecture Specialisation - Extension of Anniversary DateOn 11 February 2013, Cisco introduced the Cisco Video Network Specialist role into the Advanced Collaboration Architecture Specialisation (ACAS). However, instructor-led training for this requirement (Implementing Cisco Video Network Devices Part 2 [VIVND2]) has been delayed globally.

As such, all ACAS partners whose anniversary dates fall between June 15 and October 25 will have their anniversary dates adjusted to 25 October 2013.

Global Knowledge is part of a select group of Learning Partners, Global Knowledge has been able to deliver the courses required for the Cisco Video Network Specialist requirement. The VIVND course, which is required for both the Cisco Network Specialist role and CCNA Video, is available across Europe.

Implementing Cisco Video Network Devices (Part 1 & 2) 5 daysDuration:

This is an intensive 5 day course which includes a review of the VIVND1 content which is supplied electronically prior to class attendance, as well as a full delivery of VIVND2. The VIVND1 content should be studied before attending the class. VIVND1 looks at the characteristics of a video solution and provides students with the knowledge to evaluate the general requirements of a video deployment, such as coding options, media formats, protocols, network impact, high-level architectural components and their interactions, and requisites to the environment.

VIVND2 builds on the knowledge gained in VIVND1, and focuses on the skills required to implement various Cisco Video endpoints in converged Cisco video infrastructures. Students will gain an understanding of the 4 major Cisco Medianet application components: Unified Communication and Collaboration – TelePresence – Digital Media Suite (DMS) – Video Surveillance, and be able to implement and troubleshoot Cisco Unified Communication and Collaboration, TelePresence and Digital Media Player in different Cisco Business Video Solution Architectures.

Contact Center Express Updated Cisco’s Deploying Contact Center Express course has recently been updated to version 9.x, and incorporates the latest collaboration features required by customer care organisations.

Deploying Cisco Unified Contact Center Express v5.0 5 daysDuration:

This course provides students with hands-on experience and knowledge of tasks typically performed during contact center deployment. This includes the deployment of Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (CCX) and Cisco Unified IP Interactive Voice Response (IVR) as contact center solutions. Tasks include planning, installation and configuration, scripting, and troubleshooting.

CCIE Collaboration

The CCIE Collaboration Written exam availability begins November 21, 2013.

The CCIE Collaboration Lab exam availability begins February 14, 2014.

A candidate can use either the CCIE Voice or CCIE Collaboration Written exam as part of a CCIE Collaboration certification. If a candidate passes either the CCIE Voice Written exam or the CCIE Collaboration Written exam, combined with the CCIE Collaboration Lab exam, they will attain a CCIE Collaboration certification.
