Cisco 360 Learning Program for CCIE Routing and Switching: Performance Assessment Lab (CIERS-TC-LAB02)

This performance assessment—CIERS-TC-LAB02—is for a challenging lab that consists of two sections: troubleshooting

(CIERS-TU-LAB02) and configuration (CIERS-CA-LAB02). It is rated as one of the more difficult performance assessment

labs in the Cisco 360 Learning Program for CCIE® Routing and Switching.

The CIERS-TC-LAB02 Performance Assessment Lab is an advanced lab that should be attempted only by learners who are

comfortable with their skills or who have taken other less-intensive graded labs in the Cisco 360 Learning Program for CCIE

Routing and Switching.

Duration: 8 Hours Total (2 hours for troubleshooting session, 6 hours for configuration session)

Learners can schedule a Cisco 360 Performance Assessment exam using the scheduling tool on the Cisco 360 personal web

portal.

Performance Assessment Objectives

Upon completion of this performance assessment, learners should be able to meet the following objectives:

● Read through a full-length Cisco CCIE lab and identify the tasks that they can easily perform

● Perform all these easy tasks in a given Cisco CCIE lab first, and then be able to list, prioritize, and perform the

remaining tasks

● Develop well-defined sets of rigorous troubleshooting and verification methods of specific and interrelated technologies

● Have a better understanding of the effectiveness of their problem-solving, troublleshooting, configuration, and

verification methods

Performance Assessment Prerequisites

Before performing the CIERS-TC-LAB02 Performance Assessment Lab, learners should possess a solid mastery of the

core foundational Cisco CCIE topics. These topics include data link layer technologies, interior gateway protocol (IGP),

route redistribution, Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).

Performance Assessment Outline

The troubleshooting session, CIERS-TU-LAB02, comprises 10 troubleshooting incidents totaling 22 points. Each incident

is an isolated troubleshooting ticket that needs to be resolved in order to receive the points that are assigned to the incident.

The configuration session, CIERS-CA-LAB02, comprises 14 sections. The sections and their corresponding points are as

follows:

Section 1: Frame Relay (2 points)

Section 2: Cisco Catalyst Switch Configuration (2 points)

Section 3: IPv4 OSPF Configuration (8 points)

Section 4: IPv4 EIGRP Configuration (8 points)

Section 5: IPv4 RIP Configuration (8 points)

Section 6: Border Gateway Protocol (6 points)

Section 7: MPLS Layer3 VPN (6 points)

Section 8: IPv6 Routing (6 points)

Section 9: Quality of Service (8 points)

Section 10: Gateway Redundancy (5 points)

Section 11: Security (7 points)

Section 12: Multicast (4 points)

Section 13: Router Configuration (3 points)

Section 14: Cisco IOS Features (5 points)
