Chemlam laminates are Dotmar's family of flexible, non-porous, PTFE (Teflon®)composites,manufactured by Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics, that combine the features ofmulti-layer fluoropolymer cast films with the mechanical properties of fibreglass reinforced fabric.These products feature a fully sintered PTFE surface with excellent barrier properties andprovide outstanding performance in applications with severe thermal cycling. In the mostdemanding applications, especially in the food and chemical processing industries, Chemlamproducts are increasingly replacing traditional PTFE coated fabrics due to superior performancein terms of surface smoothness and release properties, ease of cleaning, chemical resistanceand increased productivity.

Chemlam SeriesThe Chemlam range of laminates are intended as higher performance alternatives to the traditional PTFE-coated fabrics. Theyare speciifically designed for harsh chemical applications with thermal cycling.

Chemlam "F" Food SeriesChemlam "F" laminates were originally developed for use in food contact applications and are compliant with the US FederalFood, Drug and Cosmetic and applicable food additive regulations. These products are used as bakeware/cooking liners andconveyor belts on contact grilling machines and provide a fat-free cooking surface that retains its non-stick characteristics withall types of food as long as they are regularly cleaned.

Chemlam Silver Ultra SeriesThe Chemlam Silver Ultra Series is Dotmar's best mechanical performing series of our industrial laminates. The Silver Seriesfeatures thick guage multi-layer cast PTFE films with hardened surfaces fused to a multi-ply fabric, resulting in a material withextended abrasion and wear resistance, exceptional mechanical properties and dimensional stability at any thickness due tothe "plywood" effect.

Chemlam, Chemlam "F", Chemlam Ultra and Chemlam Silver Ultra Series are all compliant with the US Federal Food, Drugand Cosmetic Act and applicable food additive regulations, including 21 CFR 177.1550.Chemlam Laminates are pinhole and crack free giving them better resistance against grease wicking, lower overall permeationand greater wear resistance compared to standard dip-coat products. Uniform PTFE thickness over the the texture of thefibreglass fabric reinforcement eliminates thin spots in coating that can cause premature failure. Applications include;Bakeware/cooking liners, conveyor belts on contact grilling machines, polymer processing and traditional applications for PTFEcoated fabrics for improved product durability and performance.
