Both conformation and gait shall be judged in this class.Transmissible faults shall becountedheavilyagainst.Ahorsemustbeserviceablysoundtobeconsideredforplacement.Thisclassshallbejudged60%onconformation,30%onqualityandnaturalnessofgait,and10%onappearance,grooming,andmanners.

1.Entriesofanyageshallbeshownwithahalterandsingleleadline.Noattendantsotherthanthoseactuallyholdingthelineareallowed.Linesmayendinasmoothlinkchain,whichmaybecrossedoverthenoseand/orunderthejaw.Inthelineup,thehorsemuststandsquareandremainquietwithoutunduerestraint.Ahorsewillbeshowninahalterwithoutabit.ThehalterwillbeEnglish,WesternorBreedstyle.Aleadlineisrequired.Aridingcroporwhipmaybecarried.Nootherdevicesmaybeused.Handlersshouldbeattiredintheshowcostumeoftheirchoicethatcomplementsthetackofthehorse. 2.Horsesshouldbeshowninanaturalstatewithoutcoloredhoofpolishorcoloredbodypolishes,clearpolishesareacceptable.Trimmingofexcessivehairorbraidingisnotrequired,butmaybedoneperindividualbreedstandardsorpreferences. 3.Horses shall be shownat thewalk and trot, entering the ring one at a time intheorderthatshowmanagementdesignates.ThehorsesshallproceedinstructedbytheRingmaster, theywill then lineup in the center of the ring for conformation inspection.quality of gait in reflection to breed standard, smoothness, harmony of cadence, andnaturalness,withconsistency,andabsenceofunduerestraint,willbejudged.Additionalwork-offsmayberequiredattheJudge’sdiscretion.

CSH RIDING CLASSES

206 CSH ENGLISH PLEASURE: TheEnglishPleasureCSHHorsewillbeshownatthewalk, trot and canter bothways of the ring. It should be a calm,mild-mannered, safe,usingpleasurehorsemaintainingbalance,easeandfreedomofmovement.Itisimperativethat the horse give the distinct appearance of being a pleasure to ridewith emphasisonmanners, thegaits andsmooth transitions.Horses indicatingaggressiveness, over-collectionorexcessiveanimationshallbeseverelypenalized.

207 CSH ENGLISH HACK: ACSHHackisahorseofgooddispositionandcalmmannerusedtorideoverroadsandtrails.Itmustatalltimesworkonalightreinwithoutresistance,althoughitshouldbeathletic,maybeenergetic,andshouldcombinestyleandspirit.Ofparticularimportanceisthatitmustatalltimesdemonstrateacalmandextremelytractableattitude.Horseswillbeshownatthewalk,trot,extendedtrot,canterandhandgallopinbothdirections.Atjudge’sdiscretion,ridersmayalsobeaskedtohaltfromanygait,standonalooserein,back-up,reverseatanygaitand/orothermovements.

208 CSH WORKING WESTERN PLEASURE: Thehorseshouldmoveinaworkinghorseimage,whilestillretainingtheairofprideandgracethatistypicaloftheindividualstrain.Inallgaits,thehorsemustbesmoothandresponsive,bothhorseandridershouldappearcomfortable and relaxed. The horse should maintain his speed and cadence withoutrestraintbytherider,workingatall timesonavery lightreinwithoutresistance.Itmuststandquietlyandbackreadilywhenrequested.Horsesindicatingaggressiveness,over-collectionorexcessiveanimationshallbeseverelypenalized.

209 CSH WORKING RANCH MANEUVERS: Thisisajudge’scommandgrouprailclass.Failuretoproperlyexecutethecorrectmovementatthejudge’srequestwillbepenalized.Acalm,versatileworkinghorsemaintainingbalance,easeandfreedomofmovement;whichisabsolutelyagreeable to thecommandsanddirectionsof the rideranddemonstratingflawlessmannerswillbethejudgingcriteria.Itisimperativethatthehorsegivethedistinctappearanceofhaving theability togeta jobdonewithemphasison thegaits, smoothtransitions and ability to cover rough terrain. The CGHC is a 501-(c) (5) non-profit organization dedicated to hosting fun and ethical shows and events throughout the state of California, for all Gypsy Horse owners and enthusiasts. We are equally dedicated to promoting this incredible breed through

educational events and community outreach projects. The CGHC also supports the work of certified groups who use Gypsy Horses for therapeutic purposes for people with disabilities and other challenges. We welcome Gypsy Horse enthusiasts from across the United States and Canada to participate in our annual shows and events which are open to Gypsy and Gypsy Crosses registered with the following registries, the Gypsy Vanner Horse Society (GVHS), the Gypsy Horse Registry of America (GHRA), the Gypsy Horse Association (GHA), the Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse Association (GCDHA), or the Traditional Gypsy Cob Association (TGCA).

The Breed: TheGypsyHorse originates from theUKand Ireland.TheGypsyhorse has many draft characteristics, including powerful bodies, heavy bone,withanabundantmaneandtailandfeatheringonthelowerlegs.Theypossessan incredibly gentle and willing temperament and come in a variety of colors,but traditionallyareofpiebaldcoloring.TheGypsyHorse isdescended fromacombinationofShires,Clydesdales,Friesians,FellandDalesPonieswith theiroriginsintheRomanigypsycommunityoftheUKandIreland.ThesehorseswereoriginallybredbytheRomanipeopletopullwagonsor"caravans"knownasVardos.Today, theGypsyHorse is excelling in nearly all riding disciplines and driving.

5. THE HORSE SHOW COMMITTEE reserves the right to itself to interpret all questions andconditionsinregardtoorarisingoutof,orincidenttotheshowwithoutclaimsfordamagesorrecourseofanykind.AllquestionsnotcoveredintheserulesandRegulationsshallbedecidedbytheHorseShowManagement;itsdecisiontobefinal.

EveryhorseenteredhereinforcompetitionwillbeunderthecontroloftheHorseShowManagement,but theShowManagementwill innocaseberesponsibleforany lossordamagethatmayoccur,and itshallbeaconditionofentry thateachexhibitorshallhold theFiestaof theSpanishHorse,horseshowandtheofficials,employees,directors,officers,sponsoringentitiesoftheFiestaoftheSpanishHorse,horseshowandthefacilitiesatwhichthehorseshowisheldblamelessforanylossofaccidenttohishorse(s),employee(s),equipmentorhispersonwhichmayoccurfromsickness,fire,orothercause.

6.MOTORIZEDVEHICLES-Minorswhodonothaveavaliddriver’s licensewhichallows themtooperateamotorizedvehicle in thestate inwhich theyresidewillnotbepermitted tooperateamotorizedvehicleofanykind,including,butnotlimitedto,golfcarts,motorcycles,scootersorfarmutilityvehicles,onthecompetitiongroundsoflicensedcompetitions.Minorswhohaveavalidtemporarylicensemayoperatetheabovedescribedmotorizedvehiclesaslongastheyareaccompaniedbyanadultwithavaliddriver’slicense.Theparent(s),legalguardian(s),orindividualwhosignstheentryblankasaparentorguardianofaminoroperatingamotorizedvehicleinviolationofthisrulearesolelyresponsibleforanydamages,claims,lossesoractionsresultingfromthatoperation.Violationsofthisrulewillbecauseforsanctionsagainsttheparent(s),guardian(s)and/ortrainer(s)whoareresponsibleforthechildcommittingtheoffense.Penaltiesmayincludeexclusionofthechild,parent(s),guardian(s),and/ortrainer(s)fromthecompetitiongroundsfortheremainderofthecompetitionandchargesbeingfiledagainstanyoftheaboveindividualsinaccordancewithChapter 6.Wheelchairs and othermobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities areexemptfromthisrule.

7.SHOWCOMMITTEE:ItisthewishofthiscommitteetoShowcasethesebreedsofhorses,informthepublicoftheirheritageandgiveexhibitorsaplacetoshowtheirhorsestotheirbestability.Inordertocreatethetrue‘Show’atmosphere,thecommitteereservestherighttocancelorcombineclasseswith3orlessentries,tosubstitutejudgesifdeemednecessaryandbetheliaisonbetweenexhibitorandjudge.Anydifficultiesarisingbetweenexhibitorandanyofficialmustbemediatedthroughthehorseshowcommittee.

8.DISCIPLINE:Exhibitorsarecautionedthatanyactofdiscourtesyordisobediencetotheofficialsofthisshowonthepartoftheowner,trainer,groom,riderorhandlerwilldisqualifyallpartiesandtheirentriesfromfurthercompetitionatthishorseshow.ManagementMAYNOTbeheldliableforthiscourseofaction.Exhibitors/OwnerscouldbeaskedtoleavetheShowgroundsandmaynotgetarefundforfeesalreadypaid.

21.ATTIRE:Allriders,drivers,andattendantsshallbeneatlyandsuitablydresseduponenteringtheshowring.

22.DOGS/PETS:Dogsarenotpermittedtobelooseoncompetitiongroundsandmustbeonaleashorotherwisecontained.Individualsmustnotleaddogsonaleashwhilemounted.Dogownersaresolelyresponsibleforanydamages,claims,lossesoractionsresultingfromtheirdogs’behaviors.Dogownersfailingtocomplywiththisrulemaybesubjecttopenalty,aswellasissuanceofwarningcards.Nodogsorotherpetsallowedinanyarenas.AnyExhibitorpetsfoundinstallswillbechargedforthosestalls.NodogsallowedintheEquidome.
