Road To The Championship Game The Salt River Rafters and Peoria Javelinas arrived at today’s championship game in decidedly different

fashions. The Rafters (17-11) were a wire-to-wire leader in the East Division. The Javelinas (15-14), on

the other hand, had to survive a frenetic finish that included a final-day, winner-take-all showdown

against the Surprise Saguaros (16-15) to take the West Division crown by the narrowest of winning-

percentage margins —.517 to .516.
