Instruction: 1. Start the lesson on SLS: Simple Past Rule (reading words like

of what verbs are. 3. Watch how to add the ‘-ed’ suffix to verbs to change it to the
simple past tense. 4. Identify verbs in the simple past tense in a game. 5. Listen and read verbs that end with the suffix ‘-ed’. 6. Play a listening game to practise identifying verbs with the ‘-
ed’ suffix. 7. Spell verbs in the past tense in an activity. 8. Complete the final review to revise what had been taught. 9. Transfer learning by reading the Crocodile Tea story again
and highlighting / underlining the verbs that are in the past tense, especially those that end with the ‘-ed’ suffix.

3. Listen to the tune-in song “I Am Hungry!” 4. Take out the story of The Hungry Giant and read it. 5. Highlight / Underline new vocabulary. 6. Return to SLS and watch the video of a reading of
The Hungry Giant. Read along if you can. 7. Go to the second lesson on SLS: Hungry Giant
(reading comprehension). 8. Recall the order of the story and look at the options
given in the activity. Re-arrange the order of the options to complete the story.
