AdoptUSKids National Recruitment Response Manager The Adoption Exchange Association (AEA) is accepting applications for the full-time position of AdoptUSKids National Recruitment Response Manager. The position is located in Linthicum, Maryland and close to BWI and I-295. The National Recruitment Response Manager for AdoptUSKids (AUSK) is a senior position working in a collaborative to increase public awareness about the need for foster and adoptive families and to assist states, tribes and territories in recruiting, developing, retaining and supporting foster and adoptive families. Primary Position Responsibilities : Lead responsibility for overseeing the operation of the project’s National Adoption and Foster Care Information Exchange System (NAFCIES) directly supervising the work of 5 Foster Care and Adoption Resource Specialists (FCARS) who are located in AEA’s Linthicum office, and 1 contracted FCARS who is out stationed and responds to Spanish-speaking families. The FCARS work directly with prospective families and child welfare professionals via phone calls, emails and a chat application. Actively tracks and utilizes data to ensure effective quality practice and accountability of FCARS in their implementation of the Respond, Engage, Assess, Develop, inform and Support [READiS] model with prospective foster and adoptive families. Develops and sustains partnerships with the state, tribes and territories public child welfare agencies and their private, non-profit partners to enhance recruitment efforts of foster and adoptive families. Actively participates as a member of the AUSK Collaborative Leadership Team which consists of experts across the country engaged in meeting the mission. Participates in on-going verbal and written reporting to the federal government. Qualifications : Master’s degree in social work (MSW) or closely related field including with at least 4 years of professional experience in child welfare including adoption from foster care, or Bachelor’s degree in social work or closely related field with 6 years of professional experience in child welfare including adoption from foster care. National, state, county or local government child welfare experience a plus. Understanding of family systems, child abuse and neglect, effects of trauma, engagement, development and support of adoptive, foster and kin parents, as well as knowledge of the ongoing supports and services needed by foster and adoptive families to be successful.

Priority consideration will be given to applicants who are able to demonstrate oral proficiency in Spanish.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and familiarity with database practice. Strong leadership, positive attitude, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills Dynamic, results driven, and demonstrated passion for adoption from foster care
