Invitation to join an introductory City Catalyser Workshop with EIT Climate-KIC, E-Zavod and the Association of Urban Municipalities of Slovenia

The ProcessWe invite a team of changemakers from your city community to join us in a series of exploratory workshops in 2019.
Together we must find a way to achieve the changes your community needs.
These workshops will be a collaborative co-design process. In an intensive ‘incubator’ environment we will help your team to:
— Develop/refine a 2030-mission, vision and commitment for your community
— Strengthen cross-community collaboration and implementation partnerships
— Scope projects and business models to deliver the changes your community needs
— Build capacity and skills to accelerate action
— Attract implementation funding and financing at the scale needed
City communities should send a passionate, experienced, diverse team of changemakers to join the introductory workshop.
We are looking for teams that can demonstrate a strong commitment to creating transformative change at speed; and an openness to working closely with EIT Climate-KIC on such a journey.
Teams should represent a range of community perspectives, such as: municipalities, NGOs, businesses, research and individuals.
After the introductory workshop, your team will have the chance to apply to participate in a more comprehensive 3-day City Catalyser session in early December 2019.
The primary working language for these sessions will be English.
EIT Climate-KIC is supporting Slovenia’s efforts to demonstrate to the world how to achieve rapid transformation into inclusive, prosperous, circular and zero-carbon communities by 2030.
Slovenian cities will be critical to achieving this mission.

EIT Climate-KIC is a pan-European Knowledge and Innovation Community working to accelerate transformations of places through systems innovation. Our mission is to catalyse systemic change towards prosperous, inclusive, climate resilient societies with circular, net-zero emissions economies. We are collaborating with the Slovenian government on a national demonstration of rapid change to a circular, regenerative and low-carbon economy and society in Slovenia - focused on three pillars: smart and circular communities, circular green development and circular policy design & science. We have early urban transformation collaborations underway with the cities of Maribor and Ptuj.
