A high level of re safety, therefore, transformer

staons may be placed close to energy sinks, thatsignicantly reduces losses at transferring the elec-

tric power in low voltage power supply networks.

Environmentally friendly. Oil absence in the trans-

former eliminates the risk of the environment pol-

    luon at oil leakage.

    Safety operaon. Windings are non-inammable,

so they cant cause the re.

Easy installaon, because it doesnt require any ex-

tra measures of re safety at site.

Minimal running costs, as there is no need in con-trolling or substung the dielectric liquid.

Small dimensions give an opportunity to install trans-

former of bigger power in the exisng transformer

    chamber while reconstrucng the substaon.

High dynamic strength at short circuit currents.

Windings are not exposed to humidifying and con-

    taminaon.

Enhanced reliability. High level of the impulse

strength of dry-type transformers allows not to in-

    stall the overvoltage limiter.

BASIC PARTS OF THE TRANSFORMER DESIGN

    The mgnec core

is made of cold-rolled electrotechnical sheet steelwith a heat-proof coang. Stacking tchnology andstep-lap cung provide low level of no-load losses.Cung of electrotechnical steel is carried out on theautomac cung line with the high cut accuracy.

    High voltage windings

are made in secon-layer form with the series con-necon of secons. HV winding is made of insulated

wire or foil on high accuracy coil-processing machines.Vacuum resin lling of windings is carried out during acompletely automated process. Epoxy compound in-

cludes a number of components providing a good heatemission, and also a high thermostability.

    Low voltage windings

are made of foil on automac winding machinewith simultaneous winding of interlaminar and frontalinsulaon. Number of cooling ducts in the winding de-pends on the transformer power. Ducts are providedwith berglass proles of a high heat resistance class.Windings are covered with insulang enamels andheat treated.

    Transformer hosing

provides necessary protecon degree of the ac-ve part. It is made of steel construcon with walls,a boom and a roof. The walls and the boom havevent holes, providing a normalized cooling level of thetransformer. Wide walls have access panels for accessto adjusng taps. All walls are detachable, that assuresvisual inspecon and maintenance service on a sched-ule date.

Transformers can be manufactured of the followingdesign versions:

    L: HV winding inputs are on the le regardingthe front;

    Right: HV winding inputs are on the right regardingthe front;

Up: inputs of the LV and HV windings are on thetransformer upper cover.

Other design versions are up to the customer re-quest.

Transformers can have any protecon class up to

IP54 included, n the clients request.

    TEMPERATURE CONTROL DEVICE

Overall and mounting dimensions of the device

Temperature control device is designed to controlthe temperature mode of dry-type transformers. Atthe dangerous overtemperature of transformer thedevice rst switches on the warning alarm and coolingfans. If the overtemperature connuous and the tem-perature exceeds the admissible limit value, the devicewill give the signal for emergency shung-down of theequipment. The temperature control device has fourchannels to measure the temperature and four outputrelays. Temperature sensors of three channels controlthe temperature of each transformer phase and thefourth channel controls the upper yoke of the mag-nec circuit.

The device carries out the following funcons:At the overtemperature of 145 on any sensor therelay warning acts and a spot indicator is lit on thefront panel warning.

At the overtemperature of 155 on any sensor therelay overheang acts and the corresponding spotindicator is lit.

At the overtemperature of 135 on any sensor therelay coling acts and the fan is switched-on, whenthe temperature decreases up t 110 the fan isswitched-o. To show funconing of the fan, the spotindicator coling is located on the front panel.

Rlay fault sensor indicates the fault temperaturesensor(s) in any channel in case of breakdown or short-circuit of sensor and also in case of anomalously fasttemperature rise (20/sc. or faster), that also meansa fault temperature sensor. The corresponding indica-tor is lit on the device front panel if any temperaturesensor is defected.

Reset buon serves to switch o the relay overheat-ing. 5 before the temperature of emergency shut-ng-down the alarm switches on again. The operatorcan switch-o the alarm signal again, aer that the relayand indicaon overheang will not be switched-on.

At the transformer storage it is necessary to takemeasures, excluding the possibility of its mechanicaldamage and contaminaon.

    SERVICE

All equipment supplied by SVEL Group undergoesthe presale preparaon. Technical specialists giverecommendaons on installaon and sengs of theequipment and also consult the clients operang per-sonnel about possible faults reasons and troubleshoot-ing in the case of occurrence. Transformers are sent tothe customer packed in wooden boxes. he packingtype is chosen depending on the protecon require-ments against climac factors , way of transportaonand design features of the transformer.

Transformers are delivered to the Customer by railroad or bymotor transport. It is admied to transport the transformers by air,by river boat or sea cra.

Usually transformers are delivered to the Customer being com-pletely assembled or partly dismantled depending on the mass andoverall dimensions.

Right aer arrival to the point of desnaon before the trans-former unloading together with the representave of the forward-er it is necessary to inspect the package to be sure in absence of themechanical damage.

In case of revealing of any mechanical damage of the transform-er it is necessary to draw up a statement of the inspecon results

and to address to the manufacturing plant.

    LADINGUNLOADING WORKS

Unloading of the transformer shall be carried out with facilieswhich loading capacity corresponds to the transformer mass. Thearrangement of strapping is indicated on the transformer package.

To move the transformer without its package its necessary touse all the liing lugs at the same me. The arrangement of strap-ping is indicated on the dimensional drawing.

Transformers despite their solid design can not withstand strongimpacts or jerking via the liing lugs. When unloading it is recom-mended to use the appropriate rope, according to the aached

drawing, where level B shall be higher than level A

    RNSPORTION

Transformers are equipped with ground wheels pivotal in twodirecons. For dragging, you can use the special liing lugs whichare near the wheels. If the transformer is not equipped with a pal-let, liing to the electric car can be carried out only in the longitu-dinal direcon.

Life cycle of dry-type transformers is several

decades, but the exact lifeme is rather hard to bedened as it depends on the operaon condions.

Service life depends n overloads, which the dry-type transformer undergoes during its service life. Asa rule the overloads produce heang of windings, thathas negave thermal eect on the insulaon and leadsto its thermal wear.

Transformer can work with the presence of someoverloads which dont inuence its service life. Itspossible when normal load is less than rated load.

Admissible loads (2) are limited by me (tp) acordingto the previous funconal indicator (cecient of theprevious load, 1) and depend n the average environ-mental indicator 0.

Transformer is designed taking into account itsoperaon under the rated power and at the normalambient temperature according to IEC 60726:
