ADVERTENCIAS GENERALES

Las gafas y las pantallas faciales marcan su cualidad óptica según el siguiente criterio:

Los oculares sin efecto corrector se dividen en CLASE 1, CLASE 2 y CLASE 3 según su calidad óptica, correspondien-do los de la CLASE 1 a los de mayor calidad y así sucesivamente.

Para la elección del tono del filtro de soldadura ha de tenerse en cuenta tanto el tipo de soldadura como la intensidadde corriente.Las gafas con oculares amarillos solo deben utilizarse en interiores o en lugares poco iluminados dado que su efectopotenciador de la luz sería molesto para el usuario.Las pantallas optoelectrónicas deben utilizarse siempre con los cubrefiltros de policarbonato existentes en el interior yexterior de las mismas.

GENERAL NOTES

Goggles and facemasks establish their optical quality according to the following criterion:Eyepieces without correction are divided into CLASS 1, CLASS 2 and CLASS 3 according to their optical quality, CLASS1 being the highest quality, and so on.The type of welding as well as the intensity of current must be taken into account when choosing the welding filter toneYellow tinted goggles must only be used indoors or in dimly lit locations, as their light strengthening effect would beuncomfortable for the user.Opto-electronic welding shields must always be used with the polycarbonate filter covers on the inside and outside of thescreen.

TLV (Valores límite umbral) representa la concentración de una sustancia en suspensión en el aire por debajo de la cual, se cree que casitodos los trabajadores pueden exponerse repetitivamente día tras día sin sufrir efectos adversos para la salud.Los filtros contra gases se clasifican: en tipos y clases según su aplicación y capacidad de protección.Los tipos de filtros son: A, B, E, K. RECOMENDACIONES

Para asegurar que la protección sea efectiva, los protectores auditivos deben utilizarse todo el tiempo que el usuario se encuentre enun ambiente de ruido potencialmente peligroso.En los puestos de trabajo en los que el nivel diario supere 80 dB (A), es obligatorio el uso de protectores auditivos por todos los tra-bajadores expuestos.No utilizar protección adecuada puede ocasionar daños irreversibles al oído.Hay que tener especial cuidado con la sobreprotección, donde una atenuación excesiva provoque sensación de aislamiento y dificul-tades en la percepción de los sonidos.

EVALUACIÓN DE LA ATENUACIÓN ACÚSTICA

El método HML especifica tres valores de atenuación en dB, la letra H representa la atenuación en alta frecuencia, la letra M repre-senta la atenuación en media frecuencia, la letra L representa la atenuación en baja frecuencia.El método SNR especifica un solo valor de atenuación; este método indica la atenuación media del protector en todas las bandas defrecuencia entre 63 Hz y 8000 Hz.

USE

In order to ensure effective protection, the hearing protectors must be worn at all times when the user is in an area with a potentiallydangerous noise level. It is obligatory for all workers who are involved in jobs where the daily equivalent noise level is above 80 dB(A)to wear hearing protectors.Not using adequate protection may result in irreversible ear damage.Special attention must be paid to over protection, where excessive attenuation may produce a feeling of isolation and provoke difficul-ties in sound perception.

EVALUATION OF ACOUSTIC ATTENUATION

The HML method specifies three attenuation values in dB, the setter H represents high frequency attenuation, M represents mid fre-quency attenuation and L represents low frequency attenuation. The SNR method specifies one unique attenuation value; this methodindicates the mean attenuation of the protector in all frequency bands between 63 Hz and 8000 Hz.
