Level of Exam Difficulty

• Many exams require a certain number of instructional hours as well as field experience (i.e. ASE, ProStart, National CDA, etc.)

• Some exams simply do not fit high school maturity levels (paper certification does not equate maturity level on the job)

Performance Criteria

• The performance criteria was changed in 2011 legislation (F.S. 1003.493(5))

• If the passage rate on an industry certification examination that is associated with the career and professional academy falls below 50 percent, the academy must discontinue enrollment of new students the following school year and each year thereafter until such time as the passage rate is above 50 percent or the academy is discontinued

• Data reporting change-Career and Professional Academy identifier will need to be included when reporting a certification attempt/earned

• Adobe Certified Associate (ACA)– Photoshop– Dreamweaver– Flash– Premiere Pro

• Exam Retake Policy– If a Candidate fails their first (1st) attempt to pass any Adobe Certified Associate

(ACA) certification exam, there is no waiting period for retaking the failed exam a second (2nd) time.

– If a Candidate does not pass the exam the second (2nd) time, the candidate must wait for a period of at least five (5) calendar days from the date of their last attempt to retake the exam a third (3rd) or any subsequent time.

– This policy applies to both voucher-based and site-license-based Certiport Centers.

• If the student didn’t earn an Industry Certification both the IND-CERT field and PF field must either be blank or Z filled not a combination of both.
