Work-Study Program
Students have opportunity for paid jobs on campus
Students must be enrolled in 6 units; 2.0 GPA
Work-study positions posted on campus Students and applications referred
through CSC to department CSC processes new hire paperwork and
distributes timecards bi-weekly
Community Service Students placed in paid jobs in
community agencies up to 20 hours/week
Student must be FWS-qualified CSC given specific yearly allocation of
FWS funds for this program Participating agencies must be literacy-
focused (public schools a target) Students can earn co-op credit (EDU 224) Good public relations vehicle for College
Student Employment Program A service to employers and students CSC posts employer openings at no charge CSC refers students as specified by
employer Includes jobs for continuing students-helps
in retention by providing financial support CSC maintains employment database Job posted on boards at 2 SVC locations CSC provides assistance with applications
and resume review
Cooperative Education Applies academic theory to
workplace Students may have program
requirement for field experience Students may enroll for exploratory
purposes (as appropriate) Faculty advisors from program area
supervise students in field Students receive credit and grade
