diploma to a doctorate• This will determine the position you

would be in( the higher the better position)

• If you plan to be a head chef you need to be good in these fields: Family Consumer Science, Business, Mathematics, and Artistics

Salary• The average salary in the highs for hourly is $31.03 and for yearly is about $271,822.80

Salary Cont.• The median amount for hourly is $20.43

and yearly is about $178,966.80

• The low amount for hourly is $12.45 and Yearly is $109,062.00

What You Do As A Head Chef

• You obviously cook and make up new recipes

• You also, check to make sure deliveries are correct

• Discuss with customer what will be on the menu and specialty foods for weddings and parties

• Also, you manage budget for food and equipment

• You show and explain how to use equipment and how to cook new recipes

• Make sure each chef meets sanitary regulations

• Recruit new staff members

• Educate cooks on how to treat special or non special customers

High school diploma or equivalent• You are as high or little lower in rank as

the owner of the restaurant • From friends experience its not like you

got the restaurant up and it will right away pay for itself. You have to advertise to the best.

• You always will have competition.

Reflection• You have to be responsible with money because you

have to distribute the money to different supplies needed and you’ll have a budget. Also, you have to really have to put the best effort into it or else you won’t be successful. Lastly, you have to work well with others and be very social for staff and customers.

Reflection Cont.• The possibility of choosing this career in the future is very

possible because I love food and my family has a lot of good cookers and in my opinion its interesting how to make different kinds of foods. Also, I am very social, do good in math, and am good with a team.

• Theses scan skills can help me in school because negations can help me negotiate times to make up test or work. Leadership because I choose to be in the leadership classes and side curriculum. Self management will improve me with finding time for sports homework and for after school activities. Lastly teamwork because some big projects are a partner thing and I would work well with them.

Reflection Cont.• This project helped me think about my future and

what I need to become successful by showing what I need to improve on and how to manage my time.

• This project has made me more aware of negotiation because I could negotiate, but I would place make up tests during town council or I would be finishing a project. Now I know I have this this and this so I will make it up an Monday, Oh wait Ms. Holihan can’t so then on Thursday.

Reflection Cont.• This project has made me think in a new way about

the connection between character traits by showing they are not all different from each other. For example, Social would just being friendly to others. Also, this connects to being successful in a career and school because you would use these traits or skills to your advantage. For example, as a chef being social to customers would make them recommend your restaurant to friends.
