The RIASEC Theory

● RIASEC is Holland’s theory of vocational psychology

● E.K. Strong used the theory to categorize his statistical findings (1974)

● Empirical data showed clear patterns that “people in similar careers had similar interests”

When people with similar personalities work together, they create a work environment that rewards their personality type and talents.

People who choose to work in an environment similar to their personality type are more likely to be successful, satisfied and valued.
