User manual

This package includes:

A. Raspberry Pi 2 with case x 1B. Power cord x 1C. USB webcam x 2D. Ribbon cable x 1E. Breadboard with wires x 1F. HDMI cable x 1G. Pet immune sensor x 1H. Glass break sensor x 1

You need:

Monitor x 1 Keyboard x 1 Mouse x 1 Ethernet cable x 1

1. Hardware assemblya. Connect USB webcam, mouse and keyboard to the Raspberry Pib. Connect monitor to the Raspberry Pi with HDMI cordc. Check if motion sensor and glass break sensor are connected to the breadboardd. Connect breadboard and Raspberry Pi with the ribbon cable (see figure [1])e. Connect Ethernet cable and power cord to the Raspberry Pi

2. Breadboard wiringa. See figure [1] to check breadboard wiring

3. Raspberry Pi configurationa. Power on by plug-in the power cord to the electrical socket on the wallb. Getting started:

Open terminal and use the following command

i. Su (password:SSP@ssw0rd)ii. Service motion stop

c. Start live streaming:i. On the same terminal window, type: cd /usr/src/mjpg-streamerii. ./mjpg_streamer -i "./input_uvc.so -y -n" -o "./output_http.so -w ./www"

iii. If you see below message, the live streaming is startediv.

To check your live streaming, please login to www.ssp.com

d. Start webcam video capture with sensor detection:i. Launch another terminal window, type: python cp.pyii. If you see below message, the sensors are running

e. Now you can unplug your monitor and place the webcam to the preferred locationNOTE: The webcam can only go as far as the webcam cable goes

f. DO NOT close any terminal window or unplug anything on the system

a. How do I login www.ssp.com to see my live streaming?

b. What happens when the sensor is triggered?i. When either sensor is triggered, the webcam will start capturing video

checkpoint for 5 minutes each timeii. SSP will send you a notification through email that there is a checkpoint in

your Dropboxiii. To check the video, please login to www.dropbox.com
