Financial Maths – Removed Higher purchase and Exchange rates from
grade 7 to show progression
No specific teaching time has been allocated for the history of numbers but
the history of numbers can be brought in when appropriate.
HCF introduced in Grade 9 in terms of factorization and for simplification of
fractions.
LCM of numbers included in terms of equivalent fractions in Grade 7 and in terms
of addition and subtraction of fractions in Grade 8.
Input output: Generalization of rules removed for Grade 7
Algebraic Expressions : Introduced factorization of a trinomial in Grade 9

Continuous Assessment: More test – driven (2 tests and one of
the forms of assessment per term)
Weighting of the forms of assessments introduced (10% for tests
and 5% for the other forms)
