CAPPA BIOHAZARD ASALAIR “ATLANTIC”The Asalair biohazard hood mod. ATLANTIC, is a batteriologic safety cabinet CLASS II A, that exploiting air recy-cle, through Hepa filters, guarantee a non-contaminated zone where is possibile to work the product, preservingoperator and external ambient by contamination. The air’s frontal aspiration speed is costant 0,45 mt/sec becau-se all the functions are autocontrolled by microprocessor.The air’s flow is uniform and unidirectional consisting in parallel waste air’s stripes that move themself with samespeed in every point creating a homogeneus air’s draught without turbolences.The contaminated particles are filtered with another Hepa filter (if present with an activated carbon filter also)before to be conveied and ejcted in ambient through a second centrifugal fan.The vertical laminar flow hood mod. ATLANTIC has been maked to allow manipulations of various material in awaste ambient. It unites, with air’s ricycle system, the absolute safety by external contaminations with the pro-tection for the operator.It is a batteriologic safety cabinet (BIOHAZARD) with a work’s zone protect by a vertical laminar flow in class 100,guaranting the product by external contaminations or by turbolence of the laminar flow on the contaminated mate-rials in the work’s chamber.The contaminated particles are filtered with another Hepa filter (if present with an activated carbon filter also) befo-re to be conveied and eject in ambient through a second centrifugal fan. The laminar flow is filtered through a Hepafilter (high efficiency particulate air) - efficiency exceding 99.999% on. 0.3 µm. particles with DOP test, and gua-rantee highest performance than U.S. Federal 209/E (class 100) asked.The use prime components and materials, the working, the operator and ambient safety allow to classify theAsalair biohazard hood mod. ATLANTIC in accordance with BS 5726-UNI EN 12469-NSF 49 like a class II A, witha laminar flow speed of 0.40m/sec., convertible in class II B3, with a simple modify of the frontal flow speed.The hoods class IIA (in accordance with NSF 49: 1992) are different for the air volume recycled report in the wor-k’s area:• Type A (30% expulse air in the room – 70% ricirculated air) frontal air speed = 0.45m/sec.• Type B1 (70% expulse air to the external of the room – 30% ricirculated air) frontal air speed = 0.5m/sec.• Type B2 (100% expulse air to the external of the room) frontal air speed = 0.5m/sec.• Type B3 (30% expulse air to the external of the room – 70% ricirculated air) frontal air speed = 0.5m/sec.Expulse air, in the hood type A, is ricirculated in ambient, in the hood type B3 is canalized to the external of theroom.The compensation is possible with air aspiration through frontal opening that create a frontal barrier preventingthe contaminated aerosol’s leak.

ACCESSORI A RICHIESTA• Cella di carboni attivi da inserire a cascata dopo
il filtro Hepa per l’aria in espulsione per lavora-zioni con vapori tossici.
• Modulo EXACARB - Sistema di filtrazione a car-boni attivi. Il modulo filtrante, completo di moto-ventilatore, a carbone attivo, consente la filtra-zione di sostanze tossiche (quali vapori e gaschimici) presenti all’interno della cabina primadella loro espulsione nell’ambiente. Il carboneattivo in granuli trattiene nelle sue molecole ivapori tossici permettendo così il controllo dellacontaminazione chimica dell’aria. Si ottiene per-tanto una totale sicurezza ambientale. Il modu-lo viene applicato sul camino della cappa.
• Raccordo convogliatore scarico esterno aria congriglia antivento.
• Pannello di chiusura completo di lampada ger-micida 30W.

• Cassettiera a 3 cassetti con ruote e chiave.
OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES• Carbon filter to put on HEPA filter for maximum
protection from toxic fumes.• EXACARB – Carbon filtration system, complete
with motor fan, allow to filter toxic or bed smel-ling fumes present inside the cabin beforetheir expulsion in the room. Exacarb system is placed on the hood pipe fitting.
