We approach space differently and innovatively and our 20 years of experience means we can design, manufacture and install the most appropriate canopy for your needs for the most difficult of spaces.

Inside2outside are known as specialists in the Education sector providing the highest quality canopies at the lowest risk. However, our canopies are not restricted in their use and we also install them into Care Homes, NHS, Leisure Industry and the domestic market.

We have now launched the UK’s first Solar Tensile Membrane canopy. The solar panels we use are made of a flexible, thin film and use daylight rather than direct sunlight to generate electricity. This makes them ideal for the UK climate.

Stage 1 - Planning: Should your structure require planning permission, we will be happy to help with your application and oversee the process.

Solar Canopies

We are the only UK company that combines our tensile membrane structures with thin film solar photovoltaics creating our unique solar canopies.

So, not only do you get free electricity but you may also get paid a generation tariff, plus an additional sum for any excess you feed into the grid. This is guaranteed for 20 years and indexed linked to inflation (at the time of going to press).

Installation is simple and straightforward. This will include electrical connection into existing supply and commissioning for MCS approval.

Kwikshades are a practical and cost-effective solution to your shading needs. Each Kwikshade provides valuable protection from the harsh effects of the sun.

Our Kwikshades are available in 3 x 3m and 4 x 4m sizes, in a range of shapes and colours. The fabric membrane sails provide a high level of UVA and UVB protection, allowing plenty of light through, whilst stopping the glare of the sun, and still creating shade.

The Kwikshade comes with a 10 year guarantee.Kwikshades are manufactured from a tensile material which is inherently fire retardant and are designed for long-term outdoor use. Kwikshades sails offer 100% UV protection.

Made from timber from sustainable sources these canopies are designed to last, as well as to suit any setting.

The innovative tensile membrane fabric roof offers strength, flexibility and longevity. It is UV resistant, translucent and easy to maintain, being

completely mould resistant and waterproof.

Covered walkwaysOur walkways can be tailored to suit any setting and purpose and because the roofs are tensile membrane, they are long-lasting, easy to maintain and make the most of natural light. Most commonly used to skirt the edge of buildings, they can also be linked to protect people from the elements. Our walkways are quick and easy to install so cause little disruption to your day but create a big impression!

These walkways are entirely bespoke and extremely versatile, fully able to cope with variations in the height of the build-ings they skirt or connect. We offer two types of walkways:

The Qube walkway This contains multiple canopies that, when joined, create a walkway that is ideal for use around buildings. Qube canopies

are available in different shapes and colours and can even be printed with images or branded to suit your requirements.

The Barrel Arch walkwayOur free standing Barrel Arch walkway is perfect cover for entrance areas whilst adding a unique architectural feature to your building.


Retractable Terrace CoversTerrace Covers for your school, business or home. Choose when you want to be shaded and when not, with retractable styles which can fold away at the touch of a button.

Our terrace covers have a robust aluminium framework with a manual or fully automated roof. When tensioned the roof creates a flat surface that guarantees the discharge of rain water. Some designs retract, concertina style, at the touch of a button. A fixed cover panel at the rear helps protect the fabric from the elements.

We can also offer a range of optional extras, including solid, glass or flexible walling to provide superb shelter from the rain and the wind.

Available in a wide range of sizes and styles, our terrace covers and retractable awnings are ideal for outdoor dining.

Our Trust is required to provide external smoking shelters for our users.

The Qube provided a high quality, versatile alternative to the usual “bus shelter” design.

Smoking Shelters

The nationwide smoking ban came into effect in July 2007. A lot of companies offer shelters but they may deteriorate quite quickly and need replacement. The shelters cannot be fully enclosed and have to remain 50% open.

We’ve modified our market-leading Qube structure and come up with a safe and practical canopy which is fire retardant. Our smoking shelters feature transparent sides to givesmokers all the benefits of the Qube as well as protection from the elements.

Local Authority Building ControlInside2Outside Ltd is part of the LABC Partner Authority Scheme, which means that all local authorities in England and Wales will accept the decisions of our partner local authority building control.

Our partner authority will confirm that our structures exceed the specifications set out in the relevant regulations and guidelines.

If you would like your structure to comply with any specifications that exceed the usual regulations and guidelines, our partner authority will also be able to confirm compliance with those.

Alternatively, if you would like our partner authority to liaise directly with your local authority’s building control in advance of certification of compliance, they are very happy to do so.
