THINGS TO DO @ CMPDine, Explore, Rest, and Relax

The first-ever winner of the Urban Land Institute Urban Open Space Award, Campus Martius Park has delivered on its promise to be Detroit’s gathering place for its immediate neighborhood and the entire city.

Campus Martius Park offers an array of opportunities to connect with friends, old and new, or simply to

enjoy a bit of serenity. Rest and relax on any of our comfortable seating options near the overflowing

Woodward Fountain or enjoy the beautiful landscaping and flourishing gardens while exploring some of

the park’s historical amenities, such as the Michigan Soldiers and Sailors Monument or the Point of Origin,

the marker within the park where the city’s mile roads begin and draw to the suburbs.

If you’re looking for something outside of the day-to-day park activities, the park hosts a wide variety

of free events, programs, classes and amenities for you to take advantage of every day.

The Fountain Detroit: Returning for its second year at The Beach at Campus Martius Park, the full-service

restaurant and bar is the city’s freshest oasis for all who live, work and play in Downtown Detroit. Creatively

designed in a decommissioned 40-foot-long steel shipping container, The Fountain Detroit provides

exceptional food and beverage service for thousands of guests, leading with a fresh approach to open-air

dining and a vibrant beach-casual menu. The menu emphasizes market-fresh and locally-sourced

ingredients in a range of items, including hand-crafted salads, small bites and sandwiches, served

alongside blended drinks, on-tap cocktails and Michigan craft beers. From a

casual lunch to a private party for hundreds, The Fountain Detroit is well-suited

for all types of dining and enjoyment. For more information,

visit TheFountainDetroit.com

PARC: The highly-anticipated destination restaurant PARC opened in late November to widespread acclaim.

Now open for lunch and dinner in the heart of Campus Martius Park, the all-new, state-of-the-art venue features

more than 100 feet of Nanaglass window walls which provide guests with clear, 270-degree

views of the park and Downtown Detroit. The restaurant and bar is spacious yet intimate,

and features a wide, welcoming center bar with a signature wood-fired grill that allows

the chef team to craft a range of delicious, unique dishes. Open seven days a week for

lunch and dinner with a signature weekend brunch. For more information,

Capitol ParkCapitol Park is the center of downtown’s most dense residential neighborhood, surrounded by cafes and unique retail offerings, enhanced with beautiful greenery and comfortable seating.

Responding to the transformation of the neighborhood to residential, Capitol Park will be redeveloped with a planned 2018 reopening. The intimate Capitol Park will become a premiere downtown space in a historically significant and iconic district.

Tremendous redevelopment is also taking place around the park as new businesses and residences flock to this intimate corner of Downtown. Because of this, Capitol Park will host a light schedule of events in Summer 2017. Please pardon our dust as we work to transform this unique public space.
