Fourth, the vitreal opacity was more severe after intravitreal injection. Fifth, the right eye improved with steroid treat- ment. Sixth, problems of a similar nature did not occur in other patients who were operated on the same day. And seventh, IgE and IgG levels in the vitreous fluid were ele- vated: IgE was 10 IU/mL (not detectable in normal vitre- ous) and IgG was 410 mg/dL (normal 3.35 ± 0.3 mg/dL). 5 We recommend that the possibility of TASS be con- sidered in cases of inflammation after cataract surgery; in severe cases, it is important to delay operating on the second eye.
