CALEDONIAN
SHOWING
CHAMPIONSHIPS
HIGHFIELD @ HOWE EC, LADYBANK, FIFE
ON 5/6 SEPTEMBER 2015
AND
FOUNTAIN EC, ABERDEEN
ON 26/27 SEPTEMBER 2015
WELCOME!
We are so excited to bring you the Caledonian
Showing Championships, a new and innovative end of
season Final to the Scottish showing season. Inspired
by the North East of Scotland Showing Championship
which ran at Fountain Equestrian Centre in 2008, and
cajoled by many in the show world ...... the bullet was
bitten and here we are, with not one, but two
Championship Shows!
There will be music, lights, razzamataz and loads of
fun for all.
We have tried to bring you a range of classes to ensure that every breed and type of
horse is catered for, and that no matter what class you qualified for there will a class
that matches or is a very near equivalent.
Qualified horses and ponies are listed on www.caledonianchampionships.webs.com If not
listed where or when expected then please contact the organisers to double check for you.
Results from qualifying shows are added as soon as possible, and then the show’s name
added to the top of the list.
All class Winners and Champions will receive commemorative awards, and every
competitor in all FINALS classes will receive a commemorative rosette. In addition the
Supreme Champions and Reserve Supreme will receive special prizes.
Sweatshirts with the Caledonian Showing Championships and logo on the front and a
list of all entered horses and ponies on the back will be available for pre-purchase by
closing date of entries only, and collected at the show.
Closing date of entries will be strictly enforced to allow for printing of the catalogue and
ordering of sweatshirts.
We will, as always, endeavour to run a slick show, but as a totally new venture we are
sure there will be loads of things to challenge us, not least the timings. We have no idea
what our entries are likely to be, so it is very hard to gauge accurate timings. Once
entries have closed we will publish entry numbers and have a better estimate of
timetabling.
It is never too late to take out Sponsorship, although the earlier we know you are
interested the more coverage and acknowledgement your support can be given.
So bring on the party, the glitter, the top hats and the music!
