Teaching TipsButterfly: GRAPH MYSTERY PIX requires students to find and color squares by reading the clues onscreen and using the lettered rows and numbered columns on the grid. After coloring the picture, students write answers to the questions (optional.)
Begin with slide #5. The timed slides begin with #6. It takes about 7 minutes as currently set. Adjust the transitions of the slides as desired. If students fall behind, they can make a quick mark in each square, then go back later to color them all in completely.
Printable graph/grid pages are found on slides #2 (without questions) or #3. ANSWER KEY:7 blue squares; 9 blue dots; 16 blue shapes
Questions are aligned with Common Core State Standards Math 1.OA.6 and 2.OA.2:Add and subtract within 20.
