Principal’s Update

Dear Parents/Caregivers,

PBL Reward Day This Friday, 14th June, the students will be wearing their Pyjamas to school as part of a PBL Reward Fun Day to celebrate the positive behaviour they have been displaying in the classrooms and the school grounds. Students may opt to wear warm casual clothes in place of their pyjamas if they wish. Thank you to the students and staff for the fabulous effort they are making to behave in a positive way and the be Safe, Respectful and Responsible.

Athletics Carnival What a great day. Congratulations to all the students for their efforts and to Mrs Young for her organisation of the day. Thank you also to the parents and carers for their assistance with timekeeping, measuring and cheering!

The Fathering Project

A big thank you to all the dads who were able to attend the initial meeting for the Fathering Project. There was a lot of positive discussion and great ideas put forward. The first event will be held on the last day of Term 3 at the Footy Colours Day. More information can be found at 'thefatheringproject.org'.

Sporting Schools Program

The school was lucky enough to receive a grant which allows us to run sporting events at the school. This term Stages 2 & 3 (Years 3 - 6) will be participating in AFL skills activities each Friday for 4 weeks.

School Uniform

Football beanies are not part of our school uniform. Beanies can be purchased for $6 from the uniform shop. Student may wear their own plain bottle green beanie. The uniform shop has ordered a different type of beanie which will be available soon . They can also wear their Edward School hat to keep their head warm.

Jump Rope for Heart Skipping Ropes Skipping will be starting this week. We still have 9 spare red ropes available for purchase at the school office for $8.00 per rope.

Riverina Cross Country The Riverina Cross Country is being held in Gundagai this Thursday. Good luck to Laura Hayes, Gwen Gazzara, Tom Rourke, Willow Clancy, Shia Parsons and Isla Ho who will be competing in this event for the Deniliquin and District team.

Dental Checks

The first dental check up clinic was held today and will also take place next Tuesday. I was pleased to see many parents and carers taking up the opportunity that was offered to them and get their child's teeth checked. It's not too late to have your child's teeth checked for FREE!!! There is a clinic next Tuesday as well. Please return your note or request a new one from the office.
