Summary of Session

The UK’s economic productivity has hardly improved since 2008 and is now the lowest in the G7. Alarmingly, recent figures suggest UK productivity could be going backwards, leading to universal agreement that significant improvement is needed. There are many widely differing views on why our productivity has deteriorated, what should be done and who should do something about it. But what does this “productivity puzzle” mean for business leaders? Is the difference between a productive and a less productive business worth the investment and effort of becoming more productive? This session will explain what productivity is, how improved productivity leads to high profit and sustainable businesses and how you can develop a strategy to unravel the “productivity puzzle” in your businesses.
