BIPV - Building Integrated Photovoltaics

BIPV refers to systems and concepts in which photovoltaic modules are incorporated into various architectural applications, especially as an alternative to conventional building materials used in the areas corresponding to roofs and façades (e.g. roofings, glass roof and elevation systems and façade-covering elements)

Conclusions

The application of solar panels on buildings is economically, technically and architecturally attractive.

The BIPV technology has been now at the stage of dynamic development.

Scientific research has been conducted on adaptation of new solar cell types for the purpose of BIPV.
