ADMISSION NOTICE FOR 4 YEAR DEGREE COURSE

B.Tech (Handloom & Textile Technology) (AICTE Approved and awaiting Affiliation to Anna University)

Applications are invited by Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Salem from eligible candidates for

admission to B.Tech. (Handloom & Textile Technology) commencing from first week of August 2015 for the academic

year 2015-16.

4 Academic Years comprising of 8 Semesters

2. QUALIFYING EXAMINATIONS AND ELIGIBILITY

Educational Qualification

A pass in the HSC (Academic) or its equivalent with a minimum average percentage in Mathematics, Physics

and Chemistry put together as given below :-

Note . When the candidates produce grade certificate, they have to produce the actual marks also

otherwise only the minimum marks applicable to the grades in the eligible subjects (Mathematics,

Physics, Chemistry and Fourth Optional Subject) will be taken into account.

3. Allocation of Seats . Seat allocation for Degree course to various states as detailed below.

* The seats will be filled up by Anna University, Chennai through Single Window Counseling System.

Note: The admission of candidates is subjected to grant of affiliation by Anna

University to IIHT, Salem.

4. Selection Criteria . The selection will be based on the marks obtained in the prescribed subjects

reduced to 200 (Mathematics – 100, Physics + Chemistry – 100) in the qualifying

examination and reservation system.

5. Reservation Policy Respective states reservation Policy shall be followed.

6. General. Candidates who have passed VIII, IX, X, XI & XII from respective state are eligible to apply.

7. Nativity

Candidates who have passed the above exam in the respective state need not enclose the Nativity

Certificate.

Native candidates who have passed any of the above exam or their equivalent examination from schools

situated outside their state can also apply. They should enclose a copy of Nativity Certificate.
