    This qualification has been accredited within the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) and is eligible for public funding as determined by the Department for Education (DfE) under Sections 96 and 97 of the Learning and Skills Act 2000.

    The qualification title listed above features in the funding lists published annually by the DfE and the regularly updated website www.dcsf.gov.uk/. It will also appear on the Learning Aims Database (LAD), where relevant.

    Key features of the Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Creative and Digital Media (QCF)

    This qualification:

    is a nationally recognised qualification

    • is based on the Skillset National Occupational Standards (NOS)

    • has been developed in collaboration with Skillset, the Sector Skills Council for the creative media sector.

    The Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Creative and Digital Media (QCF) has been approved as one of the components required for the Creative and Digital Media Apprenticeship framework.

    What is the purpose of this qualification?

    This qualification forms the knowledge component of the Advanced Apprenticeship in Creative Digital Media. The aim of the Apprenticeship is to develop employees who are digitally multi-skilled and able to work cross- platform. This qualification gives learners the opportunity to focus on specific aspects of knowledge that suit their intended progression route.

    Who is this qualification for?

    This qualification is for all learners aged 16 and above who are capable of reaching the required standards.
