Support for 3rd Party Applications Allows deployment of 3rd party applications to increase partner stickiness and increase UC pull through.

•  Support 3rd party applications on both server options •  New VMware license allows for 3rd partner application co-residency on BE 6000

under the following conditions: •  CDN collaboration applications and Solution Plus collaboration applications developed

by Cisco development partners are allowed to be run co-resident subject to co-residency deployment rules

•  A maximum of three 3rd party Collaboration application VMs are permitted per BE 6000 sever and up to six per deployment.

•  Follow Cisco BE 6000 Co-residency Policy at the following link: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps11369/prod_white_papers_list.html

•  Support: customer must be willing to remove any Cisco UC applications or 3rd party UC virtual machines if Cisco determines they are causing performance issues.

Page 30: BRKUCC-2789 - Cisco Business Edition Solutions Based on BE6000

Co-residency Policy

•  Certain other Cisco UC applications are allowed in addition to certified BE 6000 applications. List of Cisco UC applications will be published on cisco.com.

•  Only CDN collaboration applications and Solution Plus collaboration applications 3rd party applications developed by Cisco development partners are allowed to be run co-resident under the condition of following the deployment rules

•  Up to three 3rd party Collaboration application VMs are allowed per BE 6000 server

•  Up to six 3rd party Collaboration application VMs are allowed per deployment of BE 6000 servers.

•  Support: customer must be willing to remove any other Cisco or 3rd party application virtual machines if Cisco determines they are causing performance issues with the BE 6000 UC applications.

Resource Allocation Policy for All Applications: •  1 vCPU must be left unused for hypervisor scheduler if CUC is deployed in a VM •  2GB RAM must be left unused for hypervisor memory overhead •  CPU or RAM oversubscription is not permitted (1:1 vCPU to core, sum of vRAM + 2GB <= total physical RAM) •  Recommend 1:1 for hard-disk spindle (10K or 15K rpm) to virtual machine ratio to reduce IOPS issues and read/write

latency (application mix must not cause disk latency to exceed 20mS).
