College Selection Criteria

• Top 200 recruitment colleges, CC advanced colleges, Potential colleges

• Strong management support

• Online computer lab for about 50 people with internet connection

• Computers should be having Software development environment (IDE)

MS Office

• Willing to dedicate couple of faculty members

• Access to core team

• Able to host other college students if they have hardware, internet, any infrastructure problems

Teaser RoundProgramming Contest Key Activities

1. All participants need to register on the portal

2. Familiarization with DevSquare environment

3. College faculty needs to motivate students to register contest.

4. DC CC Anchor will be the local contact point for all interactions

5. Participating college will provide implementation support

6. All learning resources will be available on the portal

7. Objective is to select 30 best programmers

8. Contest time duration is up to 10 hours. There will be about 4 to 6 questions for a student

to work on. You may choose to answer as many as you can and these marks will allow

you to get into college rounds.

9. All teaser round results will be consolidated and made available on portal

College Round

Programming Contest Key Activities

1. Update the participants list qualified for college round contest.

2. Conducted at respective college

3. Objective is to select top 2 best teams (6 programmers)in the college

4. DC CC Anchor will be the contact point for all interactions

5. Participating college will provide implementation support

6. All learning resources will be available on the portal

7. Team (3 students in a team) can choose to answer any 3 of the 5 questions

8. Contest time duration is up to 3 hours

9. All college round results will be consolidated and made available on portal

1. Update the list of participants qualified for inter-college round contest.

2. Conducted at respective college

3. DC CC Anchor will be the contact point for all interactions

4. Participating college will provide implementation support

6. Students can choose to answer any 3 of the 5 questions

7. Contest time duration is up to 3 hours

8. All Inter-college round results will be consolidated and made available on portal

9. Inter-College rounds, short listing of students will be based on the following criteria:In a DC,

•if there is one zone, 6 best teams will be shortlisted from each zone.

•If there are 2 zones, 3 best teams will be shortlisted from each zone.

•If there are 3 zones, 2 best teams will be shortlisted from each zone.

•If there are 5 zones, 1 best team will be shortlisted from each zone.

Programming Contest (PC)

Overview

• The programming contest aims to enhance the algorithmic skills combined with smart programming

• Contest is a team event

• Online assessment and evaluation using DevSquare platform

• Option to select the language (C , C++, JAVA, C# ) to build theprogram and availability of Online help

• Participants will compile and run the program online

• Navigation details and the snapshots of the screen to be sharedwith the students before the contest

• Provision for hands-on experience before the contest

• Learning resources will be provided on microsite

Participating Colleges - Role

• Participate in Event Briefings and Pilot runs by Infosys

• Conduct Aspirations2020 Campaign in your Colleges

• Ensure more Students Enrollment for Contests

• Run the Teaser Round, College rounds, Inter College rounds in your college

• Provide Contest Data in timely manner.

• Assign experienced faculty members and volunteers

• Brief them about the strategic importance of the event

• Approve allocation necessary IT and other Infrastructure needed for the contests

• Track implementation progress and review quality of roll-out

• Encourage participation of students in large numbers

Faculty Members - Role

Pre Contest1. Participate in Event Briefings and Pilot runs by Infosys

2. Understand the contest rules

3. Conduct Aspirations2020 Campaign in your College to provide awareness to students and facilitate maximum participation.

4. Counseling and guiding students

5. Formulate core team of faculty members and volunteers

6. Collaborate with Principal & College Management for readiness of IT infrastructure and other resources

7. Select student volunteers for programming contest

8. Identify and brief faculty volunteers for proctoring

9. Brief faculty volunteers and participating students on usage of WebEx

10. Faculty should sign non-disclosure agreement that no copying or mal-practice is allowed during the contests

• Ensure Students Enrollment for Contests

• Run the Teaser Round, College rounds, inter college rounds in your college with the help of faculty volunteers

• Guide students participating in programming contests

• Ensure discipline while proctoring

• Provide Contest Data to CC anchor in timely manner.
