Bridge to College Program - Concurrent Enrollment for High School Students The Bridge to College Program at Los Angeles Trade Tech College (LATTC) provides students the opportunity to concurrently enroll in college courses while still in high school. The purpose of the program is to provide advanced scholastic and educational enrichment opportunities for eligible students. Advanced scholastic academic work: courses applicable towards a two or four year degree or courses beyond the scope of a high school's program. Vocational Training: any course in any vocational field (e.g. Architecture, Automotive, Cosmetology, Electrical, etc). Non-Credit Courses: open entry/exit courses that do not carry any college unit credit intended for personal enrichment. Early college experience: students will become familiar with college work and procedures while still in high school. Registration Process Step 1 Fill out the LATTC Application for Admission and Supplemental application for Admissions of Students in Grades K-12 (You must meet with your High School Counselor to complete the K-12 Form) Students who wish to enroll in English and Math must take the College Assessment and have a placement on or above English 101 and/or Math 125 after completing an orientation.. Step 2 Contact the LATTC Bridge to College Program. New student must attend a mandatory Orientation accompanied by a parent or guardian. Winter and Spring 2017 Orientations will be held on the following Tuesdays at 5:30PM: November 15, 2016 November 22, 2016 November 29, 2016 December 06, 2016 December 13, 2016 You must submit your application prior to signing up for an orientation. Step 3 Register. You will be provided with a date to sign up for classes over the phone, online, or in person. You must pick up your Registration Receipt from the Business Office located in Juniper Hall Building ST-123, to ensure proper registration. Step 4 Succeed! Get involved and enjoy the college experience! Remember, books are your responsibility. You may purchase your books at the LATTC Bookstore (Cedar Hall K-102). The Bridge to College Program at Los Angeles Trade Tech College (LATTC) provides students the opportunity to concurrently enroll in college courses while still in high school. The purpose of the program is to provide advanced scholastic and educational enrichment opportunities for eligible students. Students who desire to participate in concurrent enrollment must be recommended by their principal or counselor and have parental permission. Special admissions criteria apply.

Eligible Courses for Concurrent Enrollment

All credit, Vocational course: The following vocational courses also meet LAUSD high school graduation

requirements: o Administration of Justice 8 o Architecture 37 o Child Development 1 o Culinary Arts 111 and 112 o Drafting 60 o Electronics 58

Credit, Degree-Applicable & Transferable Classes: The following courses also meet LAUSD high school

graduation requirements. All students must take the LATTC placement test prior to attempting to enroll in an

English or math course. o Accounting 1, 2, 21, and 22 o Anthropology 101 o Art 101, 102, 201, 204, 300, 501, 604, 700, 708, 721, and 805 o Biology 3 o Business 1, 5, and 6 o Chemistry 51*(math 115 or Math 113 with a “C” grade or better), 60*(math 115 or Math 113 with a “C” grade or better), 65*(math 115 or Math

113 with a “C” grade or better), and 68*(math 115 or Math 113 with a “C” grade or better) o Child Development 1 o Computer Applications Office Technology (CAOT) 1, 2, 35, and 39 o Computer Information Systems (CIS) 700, 701, and 757*(CIS 701 with a “C” grade or better)

High School Non-Completers: Students who did not pass the CAHSEE and will not be returning to the high

school are eligible to take any course offered at LATTC.

Physical Education Courses: Limitations apply on concurrent enrollment in physical education courses.

Limited space for HS student enrollment is available for each course. Non-Eligible Courses for Concurrent Enrollment: All Remedial Courses—courses which are non-degree

applicable, non-transferable, or were previously not completed with a “C” grade or better by middle or high school students—Are Not Eligible for Concurrent Enrollment. The following English, math, and learning skills courses

are remedial courses:

o English - 21, 22, 28, 33, 46, 47, 64, 67, 68 o Math – 101, 105, 112, 113 and 114 or 115, o Learning Skills Courses

Students enrolled in Remedial Courses will be excluded from class

without prior notice.
