There are 100 senators in the senate, two from each

state.

There are 435 representatives in the House of

Representatives. The number of representatives isbased on each states population.

Executive Who is the head of the country, like the executive of a

business? The President of the United States. So, just remember that

the President is like an executive of a company and that he isin charge of the executive branch.

Judicial Who makes up the judicial branch?

Judges. And judges and judicial both begin with Jud Legislative

The most important job of this branch is to make laws.And laws and legislative both start with L

Three Branches of Government

Hanger!! Each pair of students should have one bag.

Each bag contains enough supplies for everyone tomake their own hanger.

Each person should have: 8 clasps

1 long piece of paper

3 medium pieces of paper (red, white, blue)

8 yellow stars 1 hanger

Stick of glue to share with a partner

Get your large piece of paper and write

Three Branches of Government on it.

Use your clasps to clasp it to your hanger. Now get your medium pieces of paper and

write Executive on one, Legislative on

the other, and Judicial on the last one.

Connect these to the bottom of the hanger,

using your clasps.

Now write the items on the sheet on each of

your stars.

Then match the stars to the correct branchand glue the stars on the piece of paper with

the correct branch on it.

Work with your partner to make sure you

match the stars to the correct branch.
