He started his career with Eicher Tractors in theirProduction Planning and Control Department. He was apart the team which turned around Eicher from afinancially sick company to a prosperous and profitmaking entity.

He moved to Alfa Laval India Ltd. and handled variousfunctions over there and his last assignment was “SeniorGM Operations”. He held the distinction of being firstIndian Managing Director of Tetra Pak India Ltd a MultiNational Company and a household in process foodpackaging.

He served Electrotherm India Ltd. as Joint ManagingDirector Operations and worked till January 2001. Hestarted his own company popularly known as SPRInternational in February 2001 and is steering the same.Very recently, on the advice and motivation of hisdaughter he decided to venture into academics andtrainings in the management field. Mr. Gupta has beenassociated with following Institutions:

The task of artwork and other designs andcollation of articles was excellently done and co-ordinated by Mr Akash Gupta, EC Member. Mr. SrinivasV. MUMBAI BRANCHIn the month of November, 2016 IIMM, Mumbai Branchconducted two different training programs consecutivelyat ACC, Thane.

1. First Inhouse Training Program by Mumbai Branch wasconducted on 9th November, 2016 titled ‘Workshop onWarehousing & Spares Management’ at ACC, Ltd, Thane.

This program was conceptualized after deliberationsabout exact requirements of the ACC and AmbujaCements group in their 29 warehouses spread over atdifferent locations across the country.

Nearly 30 delegates heading such warehouses at variousplaces attended the program.

Mr. Ashok Mhatre, Chairman Mumbai Branch and Mr. AR Sarkar, Adviser, Mumbai Branch were the two facultieswho developed the contents and designed the programfor ACC.

The program went very well as both the facultiesconducted the program by using latest training tools likeexercises, case studies, role plays, ppts& Videos etc. Thetraining was very informative and the participants werebenefited a lot.

The entire program was organised by Dy. DirectorMr.Shirish Joshi who was instrumental in getting thisassignment from ACC.

2. Two Day Training Program on Import Managementat ACC, Thane.

Second such program by Mumbai Branch was conductedon two different topics –‘Import Management’ and ’GST& General Taxation’on 16th and 18th November, 2016respectively.

Mr.Ajit Shah was the faculty for Import Management andMr.AnkitChande was for GST & General Taxation.

The program went very well and both of the facultieswere well received by the participants.

NATCOM: A team from IIMM Mumbai branch studentsconsisting Mr.MandarDhulup and Mr.DhavalChunawalaparticipated in NATCOM recently held at Hyderabad andmade excellent presentation on the given topic.

TRIVANDRUM BRANCHIIMM Trivandrum Branch organized an evening lectureprogrmme for the benefit of Members and their familieson 9th Dec. 2016 at IIMM Hall, Sasthamangalam,Trivandrum. Shri Mohan Nair, Managing Director, EsquireHealthcare & Logistics P. Ltd. (Past Chairman, IIMM PuneBranch) was the guest speaker.

Chairman, Dr. Kohy M George welcomed the Chief Guest,Members, Family Members and invited guests. He gavea brief outline on the activities of the branch in generaland highlighted the specific programmes conductedearlier during the year. He also appreciated themembers and their families for the keen interest takenin the present programme.

Dr. NRUK Kartha, Former General Manager, VikramSarabhai Space Centre (ISRO) inaugurated theprogramme by lighting the traditional lamp. Chief GuestShri Mohan Nair, NC Member Shri KG Nair, NC MemberShri K Sivanandan, and Treasurer Shri M Janardhananjoined in lighting the lamp.

Vice Chairman Shri R.Sivandan addressed the gatheringand also introduced the Chief Guest to the audience.

Shri Mohan Nair delivered an expert talk on the topic“CHANGE OF MINDSET”. He explained the need ofchanging one’s mindset in order to succeed in life.Normally one may find it difficult to change in view ofdifficulty in breaking habits, uncertainty while venturing

into uncharted waters and fear of the unknown. Thechange of mindset involves understanding mind, body,intellect and soul of each person. He emphasized thattransformation is not a luxury but a necessity. Thechange of mindset will result in creating positive energy,re-learning, unfolding the hidden potential, happinessand peace. One should try to be realistic to the presentsurroundings since what ever happened in the past isbeyond correction and future cannot be predicted. Healso pointed out that ‘change of activities’ is also amindset changing activity. Similar is the case ofknowledge, skill and attitudes. He urged the audienceto accept people and things as it is. The talk was packedwith full of life experiences and well received by theparticipants. Secretary Shri K Raveendra Prasadproposed vote of thanks. The programme was followedby dinner.
