BOMA International TOBY Award winner, Bramalea City Centre (BCC) located in Brampton, Ontario, is the seventh largest enclosed shopping centre in Canada and home to more than 300 stores and services. In October 2017, Morguard enlisted RYCOM as their Smart Solutions provider to deploy a Smart Data Analytics Solution with the goal of achieving full visibility into the two disparate Building Automation Systems supporting the 1.5 million square feet of retail space. With the added visibility the RYCOM HIVE data analytics platform provides, BCC is benefiting from real-time insight into all of the HVAC equipment on site, a consistent method to monitor multiple systems of varying age and a data directed approach to managing BAS service vendors. Within three months of deployment, 27 maintenance and optimization issues for the HVAC systems were reported with the potential of $55K in energy savings and $2K in operational savings per year.
