The Bougainvillea are native to the South America region with their thorny, woody vines growing anywhere from 1 to 12 meters tall. In areas with warm climates the Bougainvillea are popular ornamental plants and are relatively pest free. The growth rate may vary from slow growing to rapid depending on the particular variety. They grow best in somewhat dry, fertile soil and the bloom cycles are typically four to six weeks long. Once established they require very little water and will thrive in full sunlight.

Bebe is know as the barking greeter. When he first started coming to the greenhouses he would hide because before he was rescued he was badly abused. Although few are able to pet him, he loves being in the presence of people and you will always catch him wagging his tail.
