The festival of &idsummer !egins with a ritual at the sunrise of the longest day of

the year" The >ing and 3ueen of &idsummer are chosen 5usually a riest andriestess# often from different covens8 And the men and women divide into twogrous A circle is cast around !oth grous# and the grous in turn encircle the4>ing4 and 43ueen4" The circle of Women art# and the 4ing#4 the actions of the 4(ods4 here ends u with the chalice !eing handed
