MnSCUs Strategic Plan for 2006-2010Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system, as a major partner in educating Minnesotas workforce, will participate in identifying and meeting regional and statewide economic development priorities. Leadership Reaches Out to Business is one of four initiatives that comprise Workforce of the Future, an initiative of the systems 2009 Action Plan.
Workforce of the Future - PurposeTo create regional prosperity and community success through outreach and enhanced educational services to Minnesota businesses.
Strategies will focus intensively on the workforce needs of industry (initially, the manufacturing sector).

The outcomes of these visits are to:Extend the outreach of the systems institutions to understand both economic and workforce needs of the states employers;Provide responsive education programs, services, applied research and customized training solutions statewide to meet these needs;Create a synergy between college/university leaders and business leaders in the region and state; andStandardize a methodology to transcribe and interpret input from CEOs and other business leaders for future system-wide initiatives and planning.
