The BLF Youth Film Festival is hosted by Hollywood’s young Filmmaker and entrepreneur, Ben Lee foster , whom aims to encourage the continuation of the arts to the youth in the area. The festival showcased several arts submitted by kids ages 8 to 17 whom submitted their own pieces, including short films, music videos, and music projects. Foster was proud to present his first feature film, “PEEP GAME” whom he himself wrote, produced, and directed. It’s a feature film about a young man’s desire to reach his dreams, and pursue his love for music, played by Mackey Terell Mackey, a new face to the screen and one of Philly’s own upcoming artist. The film also featuried actors Paige Hurd (Everybody Hates Chris), Lil JJ (Just Jordan), Mariah Wilson (Dreamgirls), Recording Artist, Al B Sure and many others. Foster hopes that this will influence his participants and community to make positive choices that will allow for them to pursue what could bring them potential career happiness. Celebrity guest include actress Paige Hurd from the movie “Beauty Shop ” and the popular TV show “ Everybody Hates Chris ”. Also movie star and up and coming actress and recording artist Mariah Wilson, was a part of the festival as a presenter and performer. She made her mark in the award winning film “ Dreamgirls as “Magic”, the daughter of “Effie” played by Grammy and Oscar winner, Jennifer Hudson. Paige, Mariah and Kendre’ Berry from the popular TV show “Girlfriends who hosted and performed for the event came out to support his friend and encourage other young people to dream big. Young Stars Participate In East Coast Festival BFL Film Festival Allows for Young Stars to Come Together
