SPECIAL PROJECTS ● Collaboratively worked with district personnel on the analysis and strategic redesign of district special education

programs. Emphasis focused on creating a continuum of services, programmatic redesign, effective staff utilization, and centralization of records.

● Pioneered the initial development and implementation of an innovative grant funded, year-round high school that blends

rigorous analysis-based academic curriculum with technical hands-on life experience connected through collaborative learning partnerships with several colleges/universities, top field based professionals, and associations from the South Coast Region through the State level.

● Redesigned and restructured of an alternative high school for at risk students to be compliant with state standards.

● Development and implementation of online tools that enhance collaboration and improve data collection while promoting

independence, efficiency, and organization. ● Assisted in hosting teachers from Shenzhen, China through a Brown University program that primarily focused on

bridging Eastern and Western teaching practices as well as explained the applicability of Special Education Law to aid in the advancement of Chinese special education programs.

● Created and implemented a digital library with software utilizing cloud storage for the organization of digital textbooks

and audio books from international publishing houses allowing students to access them digitally on any device or platform.

● Spearheaded Sturgis Personnel Committee Review and development of staff and faculty handbook with significant

emphasis on restructuring the framework for qualification and salary level requirements, additional benefit package with life insurance coverage and extension of long-term disability benefits.

● Increased net auction donations for the school from $5,000 to $24,000 through product and service donations. Assisted

in the planning and acquisition of monetary donations for capital improvement campaign.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Blue Institute at Cape Cod , South Yarmouth, MA 2016 to Present Director of Regional Programs Worked as part of management team to develop a research facility for clean water technologies and aquaculture. Focus included; strategic planning, programmatic design, promotional materials/social media, grant submission, community outreach, and working in collaborative partnerships with the Town of Yarmouth, UMass, NEWIN, E for All, and additional supporters/partners. Special Education Teacher International Baccalaureate Special Education high school teacher who worked collaboratively to restructure and develop a comprehensive inclusionary academic support program. The Sturgis "IB for All" model has become highly regarded and ranked. As a result, Sturgis has hosted and trained educators from 100+ schools from the global education community.

Being one of the first IB schools to successfully implement an “IB for All” philosophy in what was traditionally an extremely highly selective academically program. Data supporting the success based on top state and national rankings established by; test results, retention and 99% success of students transitioning into college.

Indian Brook Elementary School, Plymouth, MA 2001 - 2005 Fourth Grade Inclusion Teacher Fourth grade special education teacher utilizing co-taught content subject matter and infused curriculum with technology. Provided guidance and administered educational assessments. Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School, South Yarmouth, MA 1997- 2001 Special Education Teacher Created and implemented a new special education math program, co-taught and piloted math curriculum, liaison for special education students, wrote and implemented state IEPs. Created and implemented school curriculum, assisted student admissions and hiring of new staff, managed trainings; and provided technical support for staff. Responsible for milieu counseling and on-call crisis intervention for clients.
